VIDEOPROJECT BACK ON TRACK
A few months ago, Isaiah took some special training with Media Bridges so that
we could use their equipment to produce a video for local cable tv. But with
the hustle-and-bustle of life, the lead was never fully pursued. Now, it looks,
however, as if this project is back on track.
The show is planned to be a half hour, but we do not want it to be just another “talking
head.” We plan to call the show, “Heart and Soul,” and it
is planned to consist of beautiful colorshots of nature, with a message in
a voice-over.
So, the audience will have something beautiful to look at, while hearing a
symmetrically beautiful spiritual message.
In the future, we plan to have episodes that feature sea-scapes, mountains, stars,
crystals, and other natural beauties. The first episode will feature flowers.
Why are we doing this? Because it is desirable and necessary to help people
come to resolution with the most important questions in the universe, those
that concern
the “whys” of life. So, this kind of program is desperately needed.
Like the radioshow “Heartmind,” and the internet show, “Soulmind,” which
it will complement, “Heart and Soul” will concern issues ranging
the entire wide spectrum of spirituality, agapology, metaphysics, psychology,
philosophy, metaphysics, religion, and parapsychology. If you have any suggestions
for any show-topics that you would like to see and hear, please send them to:

Happy viewing!
COFFEETABLE BOOK FINALLY HERE!
We are happy to report that the book Brother Bird, Sister Blossom: Meanderings
of a Franciscan Taoist has arrived. We are selling it for our price, and so,
will not make any profit on this book-- $8.33. (Please add $1.67 for postage,
making an even ten dollars). To order, please drop us a line or two at: rmfrancis@juno.com
COFFEE, TEA, AND THEE
We are happy to report that, at the Pneumarium, we have now set up
a Coffee and Tea Station for the convenience of our “family.” For the first use,
on the eleventh, Shirley, Maria’s sister, has made special cookies! And
Maria’s mother Leila provided an antique, marble-topped table that is the
perfect size. We truly hope that you don’t have a hard time staying
awake during the Pneumarium-sessions, but this new idea is just the ticket
for these
frigid days of January! So, please feel free to help yourself, during the
sessions, or, better, between sessions, to a nice hot cup of coffee or
tea. A variety
of herbal teas is available.
LOVELIGHT MAGAZINE STARTED!
This month, we have started an “ezine” (the name for an e-magazine,
or “electronic magazine” produced on the computer screen) called
Lovelight. It is very complementary to the U.L.T.R.A. Newsletter, its “sister” magazine.
The premier edition contained a little over eight pages. But while this present
Newsletter is more “newsy,” focusing on events and the Pneumarium
family, Lovelight is designed to be more directly educational.
Its feature-article was, “Spirituality is Fun.” It discussed how
spirituality is relaxed, informal, and joy-creating, in contrast with religion,
which seems to be too many grim “thou shalts,” and humorless “thou
shalt nots.” Spirituality should ideally be something that we actually
want to do, not just something that we have to do! We should long for
it!
The second major article was about the disastrous and treacherous Sai
Baba cult, and the corruption of its leader. Several credible ex-followers
have
accused
the guru of being a pedophile, and so, he has lost all credibility. We
might forgive him, but can never see him as the “perfect, flawless” incarnation
of God that he claims.
The magazine is still, of course, in formation. But you, our dear friends,
really came through and supported it through your submissions. Besides
the always-excellent
work of Maria, (in alphabetical order) Maribee Butler, Pat Fields, Kathy
Oros, and Susan “Mooncat Dancing” Smith, made significant
contributions to the final product.
The magazine has very short sections devoted to quotations from the mastersages
of history, practical spirituality, experiences with religion, astropsychology,
feng shui, the Scriptures of the world, spiritual quotations, and other subjects.

DELIGHTFUL, EXCITING WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION AND FESTIVITIES!
On Sunday, December 21, we gathered for a cosmic event: It was,
due to the earth’s
angle and its spin around the sun, the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice.
Twenty-one of our dear friends, some of them from the Pneumarium-family, came.
The evening was filled with spiritual and elevating conversation, sweet, gentle
music, positive energy, good people, and good vibes! It was the warmest, brightest
celebration imaginable, and everyone reported having a gigablast! Kathy O came
with her inimitable face-paints, and beautiful talents, and made one of the Pneumarium
family-members look like a donkey! We couldn’t stop laughing!
Later, everyone received and opened a gift. They were each about ten dollars,
and included beautiful candles, wonderful bodylotion, handknitted scarves,
towelsets, and candleholders. We played our traditional annual Christmas album,
called, “The
Gift.”
About ten minutes into the party, the family broke into two groups. One went
into the kitchen, and one stayed in the Pneumarium. Many came for the first
time, and were “new old friends,” unknown to the group in this
life. These included Mooncat and Randy, Akiko, and Mary (not Maribee), and
Leslie and Diane
came for the first time. Shirley and Greg showed up, and so did Michelle and
Pat (Helms).
Regulars and family who showed up included Pat, Maribee and Steve-o, Maribee’s
mom Mary, Albert, Richard, Maria, Isaiah, Kathy, Joan, and Dennis.
We discussed our spirituality and our dreams, our jobs and families. The weather
cooperated, for it was mild enough to permit easy passage between the house
and the Pneumarium. The gathering gave all of us the greatest treasure: unforgettable
memories, for our “inner” and outer picture-albums and scrapbooks!
It was a celebration and festivity which we will all long remember!:)
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
We are delighted and excited to report that the coffee-table book Brother Bird,
Sister Blossom: Meanderings of a Franciscan Taoist has at last, after much delay,
been completed! In fact, a hundred copies have been ordered, so that each of
you can have his/her own personal copy.
The new book is about the size of a sheet of paper, and about a half-inch
thick. Its cover is a combination of beautiful mauves, corals, and lavenders.
It has
eighty-one chapters. While they are spiritually profound, they are very simply
stated, containing many two- or three-word sentences. They are written in
the clipped, short, simple, and pregnant style of classical Taoism. Each
of the
eighty-one chapters is about one page, and each is accompanied by an evocative
black-and-white
photo, produced by Isaiah or by Burnitta (Glasser)! The overall effect, says
one reader, is “subtle but powerful.” Another says, “It puts
me in, and supports, a state of quiet meditation.” Another says, “It’s
a great and beautiful book. It would make a wonderful gift. You’d want
it on your coffee-table because of its lovely pictures and text.”
Here is a sample chapter (number 69):
“ Only three things are essential for the Way: 1) tenacity;
2) alertness, or mindfulness; and 3) a sincere heart that truly desires to be
unified with Love.
Tenacity: Those who lack disciplined structure from within cannot have it imposed
upon them. Bringing order to the mind is a first step. This is not finished on
the first, or the thousandth, attempt.
Alertness: Continual reminding that the world is not what it appears to be.
The Essence of Buddhist enlightenment is the recognition that material things
have “no
self.” They have no personal existence. To exist, they must touch Mind,
which does have selfexistence. If you are not aware of something, then, at
that moment, it does not exist for you.
A good, sincere heartmind: If you try to follow the Way with bad motives,
the Way will cease to work for you. What are bad motives? Trying to get something
for the self, trying to appear superior, trying to show off, are all bad
motives.
You have acted against the Way. Anything that strengthens the ego acts against
the Way.”
Here’s another (chapter 30):
“ Tao-Love favors no extremes. It prefers a middle Way. It avoids too bright
a light or too thick a darkness. It knows the world as it is. Design a lifepath
of compassion. For suffering really exists. It needs to be reduced by healing
and Love.”
Here’s another (chapter 14):
“Wisdom is from heavenly sources. These are within you, as is “the
kingdom of God.” This is the rulership of Love. Tao-Love blossoms as
all wisdom and kindness. Placid cultivation and regular mindfulness nourish
Love.
Then, you become Buddha or Christ. In the pursuit of Lovelight, there is
no place there for fears. Worries about money or the vanity of physical beauty,
disappear.
These are only passing forms. Selfmetamorphosis is worldtransformation.”

A NEW SPIRITUAL E-MAGAZINE
E-magazines, or “electronic magazines,” online, are called “ezines.” Recently,
Richard participated in a teleseminar (educational experience shared by several
over the phone) on how to design an ezine. Starting in January 2004, the plan
is to begin an ezine on the website loveministries.org
It will be available, free, on the website. But it will also be available, free,
on a personal subscription basis. The planned name for this spiritual magazine
is Lovespirit. It is currently planned to appear once a month. If you would like
to receive it in your personal inbox, please drop a very short note to: rmfrancis@juno.com
The magazine is planned to contain contributions from readers. So, do you have
a story about your own spiritual growth? Send it in! Do you have some spiritual
knowledge that you would like to share with an audience? Send it in. Would you
like to write something about a spiritual topic? Please do. Please send all submissions
to: rmfrancis@juno.com
This will be a totally spiritual publication. We will publish nothing of a divisive
or purely religious nature. We are not interested in dogma or doctrines. The
magazine will accept no “channeled” material. Also, we will avoid
all purely political material, which is as divisive as religion. In fact, we
want nothing divisive. The concentration will be on universal spirituality only,
so we want nothing containing Biblical commentary.
Instead, we will actively seek material dealing with Love, spirituality, meditation,
karma and reincarnation, astrology, feng shui, active compassion, social justice,
wisdom, quotations from sages and masters, etc. The ezine is still in planning,
but tentative plans include a section called “Quotable Quotes,”--
short quotations from the masters and traditions of mystical literature. Another
section, “Feng Shui Corner,” will contain short tidbits from the
ancient Chinese art of energy-flow in rooms and homes. Another section is designed
to improve and serve people practically, and is planned to be called “Healthy
Tidbits”-- short recommendations and suggestions re nutrition and healthy
living. This is “spiritual” because the body is spiritual. Some longer
pieces (articles) will also be welcome.
The first issue will probably not be very long; it might, in fact, be as short
as the U.L.T.R.A. Newsletter. But, while the Newsletter contains mostly announcements
and other material relevant to events, especially those relevant to the Pneumarium-family,
Lovespirit will concern itself more with actual spiritual teachings and ideas.
THE WINTER SOLSTICE:
Y’ALL COME!
The winter solstice (December 21) falls on a Sunday this year. On that date,
we will be having the megablast of our annual Winter Solstice Party. We will
have much good food and happy sharing, as our best friends (spiritual “family”)
come together to celebrate the official beginning of the beautiful Season of
Love, Light, and Crystal (snow-ice)! This is a wonderful way to spend a winter
Sunday! Our goal is to create new friendships and to invest in older ones-- both
equally important. This is a chance to get together with high-quality people
in a nonserious context, let your hair hang down, and just enjoy life! Nothing
is more “spiritual” than that, for it is the celebration of joy!
So, please bring your drum or other noise-maker, your musical instrument, and
your sense of bright, high Christmas spirit. Also, please bring a gift (valued
under ten dollars). Each person will bring a gift, and each will leave with a
gift. Also, bring any cd’s that you might want to share with others, and
we will try to play them. Also, please bring something comestible (edible), some
kind of snack, or something more nutritious. Best of all, please bring a friend
or three!
The festivities will begin at six pm, and continue until ten. If you plan to
come, please jot a quick nanonote to us at: rmfrancis@ juno.com
THE “UNIVERSAL LOVE DIGEST”:
AN ANNIVERSARY
Those of you who are members of our efamily receive, in your inbox, the “Universal
Love Digest,” and, indeed, some of you have written for it. Thank you very
much! You have enriched all our lives, whether you simply receive the “Digest” or
have written in it. For those who do not know, it is a collection of messages
and emails about spiritual ideas. It is very different from the proposed ezine
Lovespirit because it consists of only emailmessages. It is now being received,
almost, usually, daily, by about a hundred efamily members. We have just published
Number 200!
THE NEW PICTURE-BOOK IS PUBLISHED!
We have received, from the publisher, a completed copy of the picture-book (coffee-table
book) Brother Bird, Sister Blossom: Meanderings of a Franciscan Taoist. There
were a couple of important omissions on the cover, so it had to be sent back
to the publisher for correction. We still dare to hope that, somehow, it will
be ready by Christmas, but this is far from certain. So, please hope with us
that this is so.
The cover is striking, in vivid oranges, purples, and corals. The book is about
the size of a sheet of typing-paper, about 8 x 11. It contains 81 short chapters
on spirituality, written in the minimalist style of Taoism. (There are many two-
or three-word sentences.) Still, the truths discussed are profound.
If we get our way, most of you will receive a copy as a special Christmas-gift
this year! So, just in case that we do get it in time, keep your eye on your
snailmailbox!
THE PRICE GOES DOWN!
The publishers with whom we traditionally work have very high prices for their
books. This has always disturbed us, as we are not practicing the awful, terrible “spirituality
for profit,” which is a nightmare distortion. Good news! Although they
do not seem to be terribly speedy or efficient, we have contracted with a new
printer to publish our books Falling in Love with Yourself: Love and the Inner
Beloved, and Jehovah, Good-bye: the “New Theism” of Love, and look
forward to being able to sell them to you for our price-- less than six dollars!

“
LICWIDLUV” FIRST PRACTICE SESSION
The musical group, “licwidluv” had its first practice-session on
Sunday, September 14, from 3:00-5:00 pm. Present, in alphabetical order, were:
Brett, Dennis, Isaiah, Mick, and Richard, handling voice, guitar, keyboard,
drums, and voice respectively. The first song that we tried was, “The
Rose.” Actually, by the time that we were finished, it did not sound
too bad. We learned that we need to work on timing, synchronization, and development
of a coordinated rhythm. But we made some happy music, and had a megablast!
It’s great to get together with good friends, and the experience is enriched
even more when you have a shared goal! We are not perfect, but we did make
some progress, and the rest will come with practice.:) Next project: “My
Sweet Lord.”
VISIT TO THE MINIDONKS
The Pneumariumfamily decided that, on Saturday, September 20, we would go visit
the little donkeys that live just down the road from us here at the Pneumarium.
Saturday, Albert, Maribee, Maria, and Richard did visit the cute little critters.
They took them some old bread from the freezer. Saturday was a particularly
gorgeous sunny day, about seventy-five, and the donkeys were in a good, social,
visiting mood. Their names are Valentine, Bert, Millie, Blossom, and Daisy.
After eating, there was a Love-petting and -patting session. It lasted about
twenty minutes, after which, we all returned to the buttercup bungalow for
tea.
LOVE-INTERVIEW
On September 2, an interview occurred regarding the book Falling in Love with
Yourself: Love and the Inner Beloved. It lasted for twenty-three minutes. It
included such questions as, “How can you come to love yourself?” and, “What
is the ‘inner Beloved’?”
An opportunity was opened to discuss the Way, showing how different it was from
religion. The goal was outlined as allowing the higher Self of Love to take control
of your mind and behavior, willingly surrendering to It. The results would be
tranquility, compassion, and bliss. The show will air later, in October, in Colorado,
Massachusetts, Florida, and Indiana.
THE GUESTROOMCABIN
Maribee and her son Chris stayed at Frank’s Place, the guestroomcabin,
while Chris checked out Miami University, where he wants to continue his education
in creative writing. We had a lot of fun, and some great conversations. Maribee
tells us that she will soon be moving into a “buttercupbungalow” of
her own, a small, yellow house in Columbus. Wish her luck, everyone!:)
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
The latest about Brother Bird, Sister Blossom: Meanderings of a Franciscan Taoist:
It has come across some bumps in the road. It was complex and multi-stepped correctly
to process the photos (from Isaiah and Burnitta). We wanted them to have maximum
clarity.
But it looks as if all that is finally behind us. After a number of delays
and postponements, some of which were understandable, this eight and a half
inch
by eleven inch coffee-table softcover will be released in early October. This
book is written in a very “Taoist” way, with minimal words. (There
are many two- and three-word sentences.) It features eighty-one short chapters,
each accompanied by a black-and-white photograph. Stay tuned for the latest!
Republication of a Couple of New Books
We are happy to announce a move that we think will save our friends, students,
and clients a lot of money! We are contracting with a printer in Indiana to print
some of our books. If it succeeds, the books will be available in the future
for about one-half of what it costs to publish with the former publishers. Please
send positive energy to this project so that it succeeds!
WEBSITE
Isaiah has continued to make progressive and continual changes to the website
loveministries.org It is always getting better! If you haven’t visited
it recently, might we suggest that you do so now?
YIT’S NEW CD’S
Yit is our cd-guy. He has put Journey to the Center of the Soul and Jehovah,
Good-bye on cd for us, providing a much-needed service of creating audio-editions
of these books. (Maribee is also working to create audiocassette versions.)
Yit is delighted to report that he has now created some new cd’s. These are
mostly “nature-atmosphere” pieces, recorded live in the country.
Here are his latest: 1) “Rinse and Dry”--rain and wind.
2) “Follow the Drop”-- rain and creek. 3) “Dawn at Emerald
Cave”-- birdsongs of early morning, and 4) “Peacefulness”--
feelings, affirmations on peace.

LETTERS OF APPRECIATION FROM OUR FRIENDS
Last month, we received a couple of really nice emails about the Newsletter.
It seemed a good idea to share parts of them with you, so here are a few selections
from them:
"Good Friday Morning Fiend",
Just a note to tell you a big thank you for the newsletter. It is always
wonderful to have this organized information delivered nicely to my home! I
love reading the warm stories of love and the progress of the ministry. Your
heart must be bursting with your pride with the success of some of the books
being completed and on their way to the hearts of many. So blessed to be
one of your friends.
Maribee writes with such soul, her line saying "a ceremony welcomed the
energy of Summer into the earth, our hearts, and beings" is flat out gorgeous
with crystal Love. Thank you for all of your hard work and open sharing. I
could visualize your... blessing of bringing in Summer.
Though the newsletter has many purposes, those of us who are not able to attend
[the Pneumarium gatherings] as often as our hearts would like, are able to feel
the love through your written newsletter. Again Richard, my generous friend,
thank you .
Mega Love Hugs...
*******
Thank you for this Newsletter! It's the first I have gotten for a while....
Love and more love,
Loretta
A SPECIAL VISIT FROM A VERY SPECIAL FRIEND!
As most of you know already, we were blessed during the entire month of August
by a visit from our friend Frank Merriman from Dublin, Ireland. It is he after
whom our guestroomcabin was named: We call it "Frank's Place"!
He says that he has very much enjoyed the clean and simple accommodations.
During this visit, we were delighted to take him to the studio of wmub in Oxford,
Ohio, where he appeared yet again on the program, "Interconnect", with
Sherry Lawson and John Hingsbergen.
While he was here, he was visited by Shirley and Greg Sexton, Pat Fields, Leslie
Bartos, Dann Ross, Linda Jung, Albert Bollinger, Phyllis Ray, Ron and Alice Erskine,
and Maribee and Steve-o Butler. He also met many of our friends at two of our
favorite churches, the Swedenbourgian Church in Cincinnati, and the Celebration
of Life Church in Kettering, Ohio. While in the States, he was able to visit
Alabama to talk with some friends. He also very generously (he is a most wonderfully
generous person) offered to give Richard a few singing-lessons.
Frank usually visits us once a year, around August. Welcome back again, Frank!
We shared a most wonderful and memorable visit with you this time, and what a
delight that you were able to stay in your own place! Yet all the time, we were
just a few feet away! Truly the best of both worlds!
NO ONE IN HISTORY: THE PLANET MARS!
On August 27, the planet Mars will be closer to earth than it has ever been
in human history. No human being in the history of the world has ever seen
Mars
as close as it will be then. And it is also something that you will never see,
as a human being, again! (It won‚t return to this position for centuries.)
With a magnification of only 75x, which is within the power of a very weak telescope,
it will appear as large as the full moon. And Mother Nature has doubly blessed
us that night, for it will also be a new moon, so there will be no interference
from moonlight.
So, try to get out in the country, away from all the city-lights, and enjoy a
breath-taking opportunity to get a "marsta".:)
PLEASE CALL!
Richard is going to be a guest on John's and Sherry's program, "Interconnect",
on Monday, September 1, Labor Day. The program starts at nine am. It will be
rerun at seven pm, but the only time that you can call in will be during the
earlier show. The program is heard on 88.5 fm, which all of you might not be
able to receive, as the transmitter is in Oxford. People in Dayton, Hamilton,
Fairfield, and parts of Cincinnati can pick up the program. (The number to call
will be given several times on the air.)

WELCOME, SUMMER! THE GREAT SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION!
On June 21, we had a megablast as we celebrated the “official” natural
beginning of the Summer Season. In many areas, cultures, and times, this was
one of the most sacred days of the year. Our dear friends came from all over
to share the day. Steve-o and Maribee came from Columbus, and Kathy trekked here
all the way from Louisville.
Kathy made balloon-animals for everybody, and a few of them popped! That’s
one way to celebrate with a bang! But more appropriate for the Fourth of July!
Everyone shared wonderful conversation and food (no dead animals!).
We did a six-direction Ceremony to bring in good energies from the universe.
Kathy wrote,“... I had a great time talking and meeting all the wonderful
souls.... I moved to Kentucky 3 years ago from Madison [Wisconsin] and I had
to leave my friends and family behind.... the whole group at the Pneumarium have
become my new family and friends. I would like to thank everyone for allowing
me into their lives and hearts. During the party I had the wonderful priviledge
to create animal balloons for everyone present. I do clown work for hospice and
I did some clown volunteering that day so I had my balloons with me. I made some
very delightful creations... I also had the delight of introducing to everyone
my side kick "Frank" the dog.... part weinerschnitzel and brat....
foam hot dog in a bun... on a leash. Clever, don't you think :-). I also brought
my... classical magical violin. Everyone had a blast playing it.
The day was perfect;...Love Always, Kathy
Maribee wrote, “...The weather for Summer's first day was exceptional,
in the 70's, and sunny, with a slight breeze. The party was held on the... patio,
ensconced with green plants, flowers, sparkling crystals and gems, and accompanied
by the soothing music of the water-fountain.... Mary Paulen ... said it succinctly, "it
feels healing and serene here." Just being present and soaking up the exquisite
energy is a blessing. There is nothing like being in the company of other spiritually-minded
folks, to share good belly laughs and eat good food.... "Mystery boxes" were
carefully wrapped and labeled to give away.... What a terrific idea, Pat! A great
way to recycle and to make someone's day brighter. We took a tour... to see what
new artistic, creative additions have been made to the grounds and house,...
A ceremony welcomed the energy of Summer into the earth, our hearts and beings.
Most significantly, we had an opportunity to share the love that has drawn all
of us together. “ Blessings and hugs, maribee and steve-o.
DAVID GETS NEW COMPUTER
Our friend David in India has had his work slowed by the fact that he had to
rent a computer at the expensive Indian price of a dollar per hour. He has long
dreamed of having a computer of his own, to receive/send email, and to educate
his own two daughters and his three little adopted girls. People were kind, and
we were able to send him the funds. Now, he is delighted! He sends his personal,
warm thanks to the family!
FRANK’S PLACE
(GUESTROOMCABIN) FINISHED!
Until now, our friends have always had to resort to expensive hotel or motel
accommodations. But no more! Frank’s Place, the guestroomcabin, is finished!
Greg, Shirley, and Maria have worked to make it the most ultralibran cabin in
the known universe! Dann and Dwayne did a beautiful job on the foundation! It
has tulip-poplar floors and the walls are warm yellow. The bathroom has beautiful
ceramic tile. Many of you visit from quite a distance. After August 15, you can
stay overnight! The “cabin” is really a single room, with its own
entrance and independent bathroom. Experimentally, we are asking friends to
stay there a maximum of two nights. We are also requesting no alcohol, smoking,
drugs,
pets, or loud music.
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
We are thrilled to announce the publication of Luminous Jewels of Love and
Light, Volume 2. This contains: Part III: All the words spoken by Jesus in
the Gospel
of John, followed by a mystical commentary. Part IV is called “Tao Now:
The Book of the Great Mind and Its Expression,” and it is our rendition
of the great Chinese mystical classic Tao Te Ching. Part V is, “You Are
My Everything,” and is a commentary on the ten major Upanishads of Indian
mystical literature.
These can be ordered, of course, from: rmfrancis@juno.com
WELCOME, NEW FRIENDS, TO THE ECOSMOS!
We have been having a lot of fun, and sharing quite a bit
of good spiritual info, via our “Universal Love Digest,” written
by members of our efamily. (It has had as many as twenty-five emails in a single
issue!:) If
you are not
a member of our efamily, and would like to join, please drop a line at: rmfrancis@juno.com
Please also invite your friends to join!
TIME LIMIT REQUEST
As most of you know the Pneumarium discussion group is from 11am-2pm. We are
always happy to be with our friends on this day and to spend quality time with
them. And, even after the group has ended at 2pm, some like to stay and visit
afterwards. But we ask that this time be limited to two hours so that by 4
pm we have the rest of the afternoon at the “golden buttercup bungalow” to
ourselves in order to rest, read, etc. Thank you in advance for respecting
this request.

COME CHAT WITH US: THE LOVE-FAMILY CHATROOM
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
We
are planning to “get together” (online
only) for a “live, realtime” chat on Sunday,
June 15, at 7:30 pm (est). Won’t you please join us
at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rmfrancis/chat
Bring any questions about spirituality, metaphysics, psychology, philosophy,
religion, or parapsychology. Also, invite your friends to join us.
For those of you just beginning to learn about cyberspace, here’s what
will happen: You will be given a name to use when you join us. Messages typed
in by you and by others will appear on the screens of everyone who is part of
this fun experiment. It’s like a written conversation, involving more
than two people. Since all the messages will appear on your screen, you choose
the
one to which you want to type in a response. Find out the name of the person
who sent it, and type in your response.
Let us say that, among other messages, you see this one on your screen: “What
was the main message of Jesus?” On the screen, it identifies the sender
of the message as “batir7.” So, you type in “Dear batir7, The
main message of Jesus was Love and forgiveness.” Then, you hit the “return” key,
and your message appears on your screen, and on all the screens of the others
in the “chatroom” experiment.

OUR EFAMILY IS GROWING!
What is an “efamily”? It is good and spiritual people from all over
the world. The efamily currently has about seventy members, and growing! Please
invite any of your friends with email to join! it is a way for all of us to stay
in regular contact. Here is how it works: When you join the efamily, every day
or so, you will receive an emailcopy of “Love Digest.” What is
this? It is an email sent out to all members of the efamily. It contains between
one
and nine messages from other family-members.
So, if you want to write a message in the “Digest,” just write
an email and send it to the family address; then, the next day, about seventy
people
will get your message! How much fun is that! So, if you, or any of your friends,
would like to join our family, please send a quicknote to: rmfrancis@juno.com
NOTE
If you do decide to join the efamily, you do not have to write anything at all, if you choose not to. In fact, you don’t even have to read anything at all, if you choose not to. This is just a convenient way for those of us who love to communicate to do that! But you are under no obligation, at anytime, ever to do anything! How easy is that!
NEW PNEUMARIUM FOOD POLICY
We very much appreciate all the wonderful foods that you, our dearest friends
and family, have brought to the Pneumarium. While we want to provide high-quality
and delicious foods, we want to avoid any extremism and fanaticism. So, everything
need not be hyperpure organic! But we also want to do everything with the
very highest, unstained, impeccable spiritual honor. So, out of a heightened
sensitivity to, and awareness of, the suffering that occurs on our little
planet, we wish to request that you bring no dead animals. Soy-products,
designed to synthesize meat (for example, veggie-burgers) are fine. Thanks
very much for your cooperation!
THE “HEARTMIND” RADIO
SHOW
Good news! While “Heartmind” is still one-half hour, it has been
moved to a better slot (still arguably within the “graveyard”):
It will now be airing on Sunday, at 6:30 pm (est). It is still heard on wvxu,
91.7 fm. Thank you very much for listening. If you would really like to help
with the program, please call the station and say something positive! You will
probably get a machine if you call after five. Please call 513-731-9898, extension
853. Also, please make any suggestions re future programs, and ask any questions
that you have about spirituality and related issues. Thanks for calling!:)
MINIDONKS
Just a few houses down from the Pneumarium is the home of an older couple who
raise miniature donkeys. Maria and I are planning to visit the cute, wonderful
creatures Saturday June 14, at 1 pm. If anyone in the Pneumarium family wants
to come along, you are welcome! The donkeys’ favorite food is bread!:)
SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION!
The official Solstice this year, when it becomes “officially” summer,
falls on a Saturday! And what better day for a party? So, you are invited to
attend a warm, friendly gathering of a few friends on this bright, warm, and
holy night. As most of you are aware, for almost all cultures, in almost every
part of the world, this night is recognized and commemorated as a special night
with cosmic connections. What better way to celebrate and recognize our cosmic
connections? And since our connection is with Lovemind, expressing love to
your friends is a symmetric and satisfying Way to mark the eve of summer as
very special. So, please come together with us, for an unforgettable evening
of conversation, laughter, music, drumming, and who knows what other unexpected
surprises!:) We’d love to have you join us! (Please bring along something
edible, only a small dish or snack of some kind. But no dead animals, please!:)
The festivities begin at five pm, and continue until nine!:)
The Summer Solstice was a mega blast. What a wonderful time to get together with
family and friends. Thanks to everyone for making it happen!

THE FAMILY GOES CYBER!
For those of you who have joined our little extended spiritual family, we send
out our ultimate and very great gratitude! We know that the little Pneumarium
family can greatly enrich your happiness during the time that you spend on
this pathetic little nanosphere called “earth”!:)
But we’ve some exciting news that we believe will enrich your life even
more! We have started an “egroup.” What is an egroup? It is a way
of communicating that will guarantee that we all stay in regular touch with each
other. It opens the door to any member to share anything over the email. This
includes humor, stories, wisdom, ideas, and a bunch of other stuff!
Here’s how it works: Periodically, we produce a digest. It is sent out
to everyone in the Lovegroup. (That’s “Love-egroup!:)
All that you have to do, if you want to get in touch with the Lovegroup, is to
write a single email. Then, when you send this email to the group-address, it
will be read by everyone in the group, for it will appear in the next digest.
(Currently, the Lovegroup has about seventy members, growing slowly. If you know
anyone who just wants good, kind friends, please recommend the egroup!
Got something that you want to share? Here’s the address for the Lovegroup,
which will get it sent to everyone, in the next digest: rmfrancis@yahoogroups.com
Note
We especially like spiritualstuff! Happy reading and writing!
Btw: To be a member of the Loveegroup, you never have to write anything, or
even to read anything! We want the group to be a joy, never a burden. So,
if you’re
shy, that’s okay too!
PART II: MORE GOOD CYBERNEWS FOR THE FAMILY!
Sunday, May 25, we are all going to “get together” for an “eparty.” What
is this? It means just turn on your computer, and then, go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rmfrancis/subs_add
GUESTROOM REPORT
Thanks to Greg and Gary Sexton, Shirley Sexton, and Maria Francis, we are making
real progress on the Guestroom. Both the inlet and outlet (drainage) plumbing
is in. The structure is well built, strong, fine, and beautiful. The plumbing
was a bit of a bear, as part of it was the original from 1950! A leak of fairly
longstanding was fixed, thanks to that great virgo-eye of Greg!
Anyway, our guests should soon have a completely selfsufficient place, with its
own separate entrance and bathroom facilities.
PNEUMARIUM FAMILY GATHERINGS.
As you know, the Pneumarium family is small. We are more focused on increasing
the quality than the quantity. We do not necessarily want a bigger group than
the dozen or so who are fairly regular attenders at the gatherings. But we do
seek to increase our closeness, cooperation, sharings, and communications. Anyway,
please do take a couple of minutes to mark your calendars. The next three Pneumarium
family gatherings will be on:
June 1
June 15
June 29
Please try to arrange your time so that you can come over. There is nothing more
important that you can possibly do with your time!
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
The latest project is a book about the height and width of a sheet of paper.
It’s called Brother Bird, Sister Blossom: Meanderings of a Franciscan
Taoist.
The writing is designed to be “Taoist”: Very simple (with many
two- or three-word sentences, but also profound.) The format, quite frankly,
is not
entirely original. It has a lot of very creative black-and-white photos, provided
with kindness, courtesy, and joy by Burnitta Glasser and Isaiah Toran!
Looks as if this one will be available in a couple of months, maybe sooner!

SPECIAL
ISSUE: WAR AND PEACE
Venus and Mars do
not get along well at all. Love does not mix with war. War is contrary to the
most basic humanitarian principles of human dignity and compassion. Very few
people, even among pro-war advocates, actually want war.
But thanks to some rather impulsive actions, the debate about going to war has
come to an abrupt end. Since this country is at war, there is no possibility
of avoiding it. The best that we can do is to decide how we are going to respond
to this reality.
Like all things and events in the dreamworld, it is here to test us and our
interior qualities. Like all good, effective tests or exams, it is a very serious
and difficult challenge.
CAN
THERE BE ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT WAR?
If we, as sensitive beings, are not to drive ourselves completely nuts, the
very least that we must do is accept reality. As in all things, we need to try
to find the better wrapped within the bitter. So, while there is nothing absolutely
good about war (the Absolute is Love), we must work to emphasize
the positive over the negative in order not to go crazy!
Unlike previous wars, then, this one has been surgical. That means
that every attempt has honestly been made to avoid unnecessary civilian deaths.
Although more will die, and the fact of death of any one person is immeasurable,
at this point, fewer than one hundred Americans have died in the war. More Iraqis
have died, of course, and this must not be ignored, since they are also our
sisters and brothers. But, compared with previous wars, the total casualties
in this one have been microscopic.
Also, the war has led to, and is interwoven with, massive humanitarian aid for
a very poor group of people. Food and medicine have been supplied and distributed
by the army, navy, and marine forces.
A third bright light of the war is that an extremely cruel and incredibly
nutty dictator has fallen. In the evolutionary history of our planet, the dissolution
of such hateful governments must occur, to make way for a permanent international
peace. Many of those who have died have been unusually vicious fanatics and
violent thugs. Thus, to some extent, the war has served as a kind of filtering
or purifying of earths energies. The planetary energy-field
is made richer and better whenever a vicious, cruel fanatic leaves the world.
Another positive aspect to the war is that many on the other side have just
given up. When they have done so, kind and compassionate treatment has been
insisted on by the Coalition.
Another positivity is that the stupidity of fanaticism has been exposed to the
world. Violent people always make clowns of themselves, and there is no bigger
clown than the lame-brained dictator who has built forty-eight large palaces
for himself while children in his country have dropped dead from starvation.
His gargantuan ignorance has been spotlighted as a warning for all of us, to
avoid greed, for it is a form of cruelty.
Finally, another positive lesson: the pathetic, moronic little dictator has
proved, beyond the shadow of any doubt, that egotism is insanity or, at least,
that egotism can drive you batty. For it would be supremely difficult to find
a more egocentric person, and a less enlightened one!
WAR
AND PEACE, POLITICS AND FRIENDSHIP
We have often taught and learned that friendship is a form of Love. So, there
is nothing more important in the enlightened life. Some things are as important,
but nothing is more important.
So, let us refuse to become hard-liners, set in concrete. If we are foolish
and stupid enough to abandon a friendship because a person holds different views
about the war, then we have chosen to put ourselves, and others, through hell.
Also, within a few years, this war will have cooled off considerably, as hot
passions naturally die off fairly quickly. We might well feel that we are right,
but if this means to us that all others, who have varying views, are wrong,
it is an implicit claim to omniscience. The question of war, especially now
that it has become a part of reality, is just too extremely complex an equation
to yield to simplistic, naive all right or all wrong
answers. The cosmos is polychromatic, and dualistic black-and-white thinking
is almost always wrong. So, let us continue to treasure and respect each other.
Let us have the good sense not to create our own little war over
the war!
A
JUST WAR?
It has been hypothesized by historians that some wars are just.
Without the war against Hitler, for example, the whole world would have fallen
into the grip of a sadistic Nazism, and none of us would enjoy freedoms. But
if there is such a thing as a just war, it must meet the following
criteria:
1) It must have the approval and agreement of most of the international
community. If not, the nation that begins the war becomes, by definition, a
kind of rogue state.
2) The war must be fought against soldiers only. The current war falls
into this category.
3) It must result in true improvement for the country, its people and
culture. It must be a true liberation of people. Liberation must
not just be a political buzz-word or smoke-screen.
4) The war must be approved by a majority of the public. In the United
States, this war does have the approval of the majority, which in itself does
not, cannot, make it just.
5) There must be no alternative. This is one of the most serious questions
that has arisen about this war.
6) The violence exercised in the war must equal, and not surpass, the
violence of the enemy. In this case, the violence, torture, and murder of the
strutting pea-cocking little dictator has been enormous, even against his own
people.
7) War must be a last resort. All other possibilities must first fully
have been exhausted. Like the question of alternatives, this one is highly controversial.
In summary, can it be said that this war is fully justifiable? Does it clearly
meet all the criteria for a just war? No, it clearly does not.
WAR
AND SANITY
If you happen to be a gentle, sensitive being, it is better to take a news
fast, and turn off the tv or radio, and stay away from the papers. Some
must do this, in order to retain their own sanity! Either that, or you must
try to do what has been attempted here: Select what goodness there is in a nightmare
context of war. The best thing, at any rate, that you can do to create a more
peaceful world, is to create and cultivate inner peace. As always, please avoid
making enemies over the war by taking a dogmatic or harsh stance. Let us courteously
agree politely to disagree if we must. But let us not despise or reject others.
With the open hand and arms of friendship, let us create peace among ourselves.
Let us treasure peace with others, and tranquility within ourselves. Peace begins
with you and me.

HAPPY SPRING!
The Season of Flowers and Showers is upon us! As the warmth of nature returns,
may it awaken the warmth of Love, compassion, tranquility, and bliss within
our hearts.:) As you know, Mother Nature has been a little winterish during
the months of February and March. In fact, we were forced by weather to cancel
two Pneumarium gatherings, as it did not seem compassionate to ask you to go
out onto roads that might well have been truly dangerous. Now, it looks as if
our schedule can get back to normal!
THE PNEUMARIUM FAMILY VISITS
CREPE HEAVEN!
On February 9, the Pneumarium family decided to have only a one-hour spiritual
session of lecture and q&a. After discussing how sharing a meal as a family,
if done in Love and sister/brotherhood, is actually a part of our spiritual
growth, we all went out to a small restaurant called the Original Pancake House
in Cincinnati. This place is famous-- and deservedly so-- for its scrumptious
pancakes and crepes. It was very busy that morning, as it always is, when we
arrived with a party of sixteen. But we were soon seated, and enjoying what
has been described as the best food in the history of the physical cosmos.:)
HEARTMIND AND
OTHER RADIOSTUFF
The radiotalkshow Heartmind can be heard on Saturday nights at eleven
pm, on wvxu, 91.7 fm. Liquid Eyes is now preparing a demodisc, a
cd with some sample teachings of the Way, which we hope to offer to a few other
local radiostations. The goal is, if possible, to get another show going.
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
Just published is Luminous Jewels of Love and Light, Volume 1. This book contains
the first book ever produced by Love Ministries, way back in 1986, called The
Way of Universal Love, completely rewritten, expanded, and updated. This is
a general introduction to the Enlightenment Tradition, and looks at It from
the visions of physics, psychology, history, and philosophy. Part II is a collection
of one thousand aphorisms, sayings, and proverbs from mystics of all cultures
and times. Quotations illustrating the Universal Way are from Buddhist, Christian,
Taoist, Hindu, Jewish, and Islamic (Sufi) sources. This, too, was originally
published as a separate small book, back in 1995, called Superlove: A Thousand
Mystic Jewels from a Spiritual Megatrend. The new book, Luminous Jewels 1, is
now available in both softcover and hardcover editions. It has a lovely violet,
purple, and lavender cover.
Soon to be published is Luminous Jewels of Love and Light, volume 2. It will
have the same cover, only in red. It contains every sentence spoken by Jesus
in the Gospel of John, followed by a Commentary, in Part III. Part IV is a new
rendition of the venerable Chinese mystical classic called Tao Te Ching, a name
here translated as, The Book of the Great Mind and Its Expression.
Part IV is a commentary on the Hindu Upanishads which, as many of you know,
is all about the Creatormind, the cosmic Dreamer in the Unconscious, called
in these texts Brahman.
***
The third bookproject spent much time in the prepstage. It is Brother Bird,
Sister Blossom: Meanderings of a Franciscan Taoist. This book will be available
in softcover only. Its dimensions are roughly those of a sheet of paper, about
8 x 11. It contains eighty-one small (one-page) chapters, each of which is accompanied
by a black-and-white photo. The pics were provided kindly by Isaiah Toran and
Burnitta Glasser. Writing is spare, sparse, almost spartan, and minimal. There
are a number of two- or three-word sentences. In places, it stands on the threshold
of the poetic. It is all about the tao of Love, combining the best
in the Christian and Taoist Enlightenment Traditions.
THE DISCSET OF JOURNEY NOW
AVAILABLE!
Our brother Yit (Thomas Gustin) in Xenia, Ohio, has spent many hours in the
labor-intensive project of preparing a most delightful, wonderful audio-edition
of the book Journey to the Center of the Soul: Mysticism Made Simple. He has
produced a beautiful unabridged set of audio cds which contains the entire
book on sixteen discs. People love to listen to discs when traveling, doing
work around the house or yard, and at other times when holding a book would
not be convenient. Yit reads with flair and enthusiasm. If you are in the market
for a gift, please do consider this lovely set. Or if you have not yet received
your personal set, and would like one, just let us know asap at: rmfrancis@juno.com
THE GUESTROOM: AN UPDATE
In the back of the buttercupbungalow at 5100 Liberty-Fairfield Rd., near the
Pneumarium, the footer and block-foundation have been set in place for the new
guestroom. This structure is designed so that it will be independent from the
main house. It will have its own entrance, bathroom-facilities, tv, etc. We
hope in time to have a guestroom that we can offer to house our overnight guests.
We have tentatively given it the name, Franks Place, after
a dear and close friend whose beautiful kindness and generosity have contributed
to the construction. After Dann Ross and Dwayne Brown set the footer under the
ground, and laid the foundation, Greg Sexton, our resident genius,
has since done some work, adding another most welcome layer of blocks. Now,
we are just about ready to bolt on the sill-plate, after which we hope to begin
some real room-building!

LIQUID EYES NEW CD!!!
After breathless anticipation, we are excited and delighted to report that Isaiahs
new cd is now available. It is called, Another Way Home. The titles of
the pieces are written in nueng, a futuristic language that anticipates
the evolution of English in the near and far future.
The titles of the individual pieces are: intu ourself;
mind; solit
(Soul-light); wen it tuches iu; translucenthart;
nutonian licwid; biosonics;
uther sid of solis (other side of solace);
wer ran returns (where rain returns);
shining thunder; tuching
tomoros tecsturs; oasis.
This, especially the first half, is an excellent addition to meditative quality
of mind. Sounds are fluid, bright, light, and move through the entire body.
The entire album shines with Lovelight. Parts are transcendental. Parts will
move you to tears, and others, to smiles. Listening is a very delightful experience.
This album is recommended for all age-groups, and all meditators everywhere.
Playing it is a good way to cleanse the energy of a room, or of your body. It
is also great to boost positive forces in your mind and in your world. Listening
is a moving, touching experience of sustained good vibes. This also
makes a fantastic gift; get yourself a copy, and another for anyone about whom
you care! Its a real investment in Mind!

WINTER SOLSTICE: A MEGABLAST
SUCCESS!!!
The Winter Solstice Party, our annual tradition, was held on December 21. Twenty-seven
of our dear friends showed up, and made the party a smashing success! Deborah
brought her drum, and led a drumming-session which lasted over half an hour,
during which three separate sets were played. Dennis brought his
guitar, and sang a couple of pseudogobby songs, and others. Margie
played mrs. Claus, and distributed gifts to everyone. It was a night
of song and laughter, and, most importantly, of friendship and Love! We also
shared beautiful music on cd, rich delicious (and some decadent) foods, and,
most importantly, lots and lots of good conversation.
This seems the best place to introduce our philosophy of parties
and get-togethers: We see them as opportunities for friendship-discovery, friendship-building,
and friendship-maintenance. You might notice a theme here: Yes, its all
about friendship! It is friendship, of a very deep, unique level and type, that
keeps us together as a family. While a family, including our extended spiritual
Pneumarium family, is more than just friends, a good family also
feels the strong Love-bonds of friendship. So, a get-together is a wonderful
chance to strengthen strong Love-bonds of friendship.
What is the best way to do that? It is by personal sharing, which usually means
conversation. So, in the Solstice Party, we did not want the evening to become
merely a drumming-session; or we did not want it to become entertainment, as
at a club. So, being moderate centrists, we did allow for both, but also wanted
to make absolutely certain that you had enough time for quality conversation.
This conversation is communication-- the same root as communion,
the peak, zenith, or apex of the Enlightenment Tradition. This communication
is the most important reason that we get together, whether in the Pneumarium
gatherings, or when we are just playing.
FIELDTRIP: MUSEUM CENTER:
BROTHER CHIMP!
The museum center has a new omnimax film now playing, about the good ol
Goodall research with Brother Chimpanzee. On Saturday, January 25, we are planning
to get together and go see it. (Our sweet Pneumariumgathering is the next day.:)
Isaiah has kindly volunteered to provide tickets free for all the Pneumarium
family. We will meet at the Pneumarium at one oclock.
JANUARY 5 SEMINAR AT
WVXU
We had a most exciting, delightful gathering sponsored by the radio station
wvxu at the studio building on the grounds of Xavier University on January 5.
Many listeners to the radio show Heartmind showed up. Great questions
were asked and answered, spanning an entire wide range of topics from psychology
to spirituality.
On our online Catalog, at loveministries.org we have listed over 150 taped episodes
of Heartmind, the radiotalkshow. If you missed any episodes, have
any favorites, or would like to share any episodes with friends and neighbors,
they are all listed, by title, on the website. Please take a couple of minutes
to check it out, and please provide us with feedback. Tapes are sent on a Love-donation
basis, and there is no charge.
Isaiah has done a magnificent job with this website, and we are always interested
in improving! (Of course, perfection is our goal, but weve
forever for that one!)
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
The latest: Luminous Jewels of Love and Light threatened to become such a BIG,
FAT book that it would have been incredibly expensive to publish. So, we broke
it down into two volumes. Volume 1 will be available in ten days, and Volume
2 a little later.
Meanwhile, the new Simplicity Made Simple: the Economics of Compassion has been
published, and is now in stock. This is a very simple book, as simple as we
could possibly make it. It is the cheapest book that our publisher manufactures
(our cost, and yours, is $7.50). This can be obtained from: rmfrancis@juno.com,
or by calling us at 513-737-LOVE.

ALPACA
LUNCH: THE LATEST FIELD TRIP
The latest fieldtrip took some of the Pneumarium family to a tiny Ohio town
called Owensville. There, Frances Johnson very kindly opened both
her acreage and home to us, allowing us, indeed, encouraging us, to play with,
pet, and talk to her alpacas. (Alpacas have faces and personalities much like
those of lamas, but they are about half the size.) One alpaca was named Copper,
another Jupiter. At first, they were a little standoffish, but soon
warmed up a bit and became friendlier. When Frances generously invited us into
her house for warm tea on this frigid day, we met her great black labrador Kay,
who was also ready for Love! It was a day of freezing winds alternating with
very warm hearts and smiles, a day very well invested, not just spent.
A lot of Love was expressed, both among people, and to our little nonhuman brothers
and sisters.
WELCOME
TO THE WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION
Our Winter Solstice Celebration was such a hit last year that we have decided
to repeat the warm, bright festivities again, again on December 21, Saturday.
(That Sunday following is not a Pneumarium day.)
Everyone is welcome. There will be lots of warmth, of both the thermal and emotional
kinds, good food, music, and perhaps we might even be able to get our Santa
(Michelle) to do an encore! NOTE: Please
bring one gift, valued at under ten dollars, with you. They will be distributed
to those who come. Thus, everyone will come with a gift, and leave with a different
one! Festivities start at six pm. The event is free, so please, bring as many
friends as you like. Also, please bring along a potluck item, or
perhaps a snack! Lets get together and feel all right!
BOOKNOTE
NOTEBOOK
The publisher now has Volume 1 of Luminous Jewels of Love and Light. This book
contains The Way of Universal Love, first written in 1986,
but completely rewritten and revised. (The original of this work is the one
that many of you have in a three-cd set, recorded by Yit.) Part II of this book
is the collection of mystical aphorisms and proverbs called Superlove: A
Thousand Mystic Gems from a Spiritual Megatrend.
We are just only now completing the final review and proofing of Volume 2 of
Luminous Jewels. Volume 2 contains an original rendition and commentary on every
word spoken by Jesus in the Gospel of John, called here, The Gospel
of Universal Love: The Mystic Evangel of John. That is Part III of
the two-volume set. It is followed by Part IV, a fresh rendition of the classic
mystical text that is the ancient foundation of Taoism, the Tao Te Ching, this
title rendered as, The Book of the Great Mind and Its Expression.
Part V is a brief commentary on the Indian mystical classics, the Upanishads.
Dave and Burnitta have kindly provided some hardcopy b&w photos for the
new coffee-table softcover Brother Bird, Sister Blossom. Others are to be provided
by Isaiah, but, after long delay, we do hope to get this one off to the publisher
in mid-December.
NEW BOOK PUBLISHED! We are happy to announce
the recent publication of our latest book Simplicity Made Simple: The Economics
of Compassion. An earlier edition of a book with the same primary title,
published years ago, bears no resemblance to this newly created and rewritten
book. The book is quite simple; it contains only 99 pages, and is available
in only softcover. Its essence is that we need to remove greed as the center
of our lives, and replace it with compassion. Readers are encouraged to take
a sacred vow to this effect. But the book is not extremist or fanatical; it
recognizes the valid human needs for comfort, and even for beauty. It simply
encourages simplicity (not minimalism), and the full renunciation of greed.
The book illustrates practical ways in which this can be accomplished.
GREETINGS
FROM DUBLIN
Our brothers and sisters of Love from Dublin send their Love and greetings to
their sisters and brothers in the U.S. While there, we were able to cultivate
old friendships and make many new ones. Of course, the journey would have been
quite impossible without the great kindness and generosity of our very good
friend Frank Merriman. Also, we got to visit with Pinki Patel, whom some of
you know, and James Foy. These two have longterm plans to marry, and are already
purchasing a house together. We also got to see Breda Mayock, the lady who designed
the camel-drawings for our little childrens book Kami and Kamu: A Love
So True-blue. (So far, efforts to market this book commercially have not been
fruitful.) Special thanks to Frances and Fentan Cunningham, and to Dominic and
Noeleen Elickson for their kindness, help, and great generosity.
UPCOMING
CALENDER
December has three Sundays that the Pneumarium family will gather. This is great,
since it compensates for the gathering that we missed in November. The four
dates are: the first, the fifteenth, and the twenty-ninth.
Please mark your calendars.

GREETINGS
AND LOVE FROM OUR SISTERS AND BROTHERS TO THE NORTH
Maria and Richard just returned from Scarborough, Maine, where they presented
a Free and Happy Life Seminar. We wish,
with deep, sincere appreciation and profound gratitude to acknowledge the unusually
great kindness of our sister Michelle Lawson for hosting us and opening her
house for four rather busy days. To do this, she took time from the most important
pursuit of her life-- the education (home-schooling) of her delightful daughters
Micayla, six, and Arianna, nine. So, special thanks to her and her husband Paul
for opening up their home so generously and kindly. Special and extra thanks,
Michelle, for having rented the beautiful place for the seminar-- a room, one
wall of which was all glass, overlooking a forest. Thanks for distributing brochures
and posters, and doing a dozen other errands necessary to make it all come together.
Special thanks to our sister Ramona Abella, who also helped to distribute brochures
and posters. Thanks also for your wonderful and supportive generosity. To all
of our friends from our New England Period of fifteen years ago, we send special
prayers, energy, greetings, and Love: Cathy and Boone, Dennis and Kirsten, Debbie
and Tom, and Mimi Caron. We plan to return within a year or so, if that is itt
(in the Tao).
We are happy to report that the seminar was recorded (on microcassette). We
plan to transfer the information to regular sized audiocassettes. Then, they
will be available to everyone. We plan to have this project finished by the
first of December. It will be a set of three sixty-minute tapes.
HERE
IS OUR SCHEDULE FOR NOVEMBER: ONLY ONE GATHERING!
We apologize for the schedule changes, but travel has made it imperative that
some major shifts occur. The only gathering at the Pneumarium during the entire
month of November will be on Sunday, November 3.
BOOKNOTE
NOTEBOOK
The latest project is a large softcover work that alternates black-and-white
photos with small, very simple chapters. As in the classic work Tao Te Ching,
the Chinese mystical classic after which it was modeled, it has 81 simple one-page
chapters enhanced by creative photography. The pics were kindly provided by
Burnitta Glasser and Isaiah.
Re the status of other works: Luminous Jewels of Love and Light, Volume 2, is
undergoing final proofing. (Volume 1 is at the publishers. This was originally
planned as one giant book, but the cost would have been so ridiculously high
that it was decided to break it up into two volumes.) The latest work, the first
draft of which has just been completed, is The Apocalypse of Love: Mystical
Symbolism in Revelation. This still needs proofing, but should be finished
by the first of the year.
WORKING
WITH THE SWEDENBORGIANS
In harmony with universalism, we have begun to share some community spiritual
educational work with John Billings, the pastor of the Swedenborgian Church
in Cincinnati. He and Richard will be collaborating on presentations on November
25. Having met John is a blessing, and we look forward to productive future
collaborations.
YIT
HAS PRODUCED MORE CDS!
Tom Gustin, or Yit, produced enough cds to give one to each
person who attended the Seminar. He has gone beyond even this! He has now produced
enough cds of The Way of Universal Love that we are planning
to take some with us when we go to Dublin this month! Slowly but surely, the
message of the Way of Love is beginning to trickle into heartminds
everywhere. We are planting together the seeds of Lovelight that will ultimately
change our planet irreversibly for the better! Thanks loads, Yit!
YIT
HAS PUT JOURNEY ON DISC!
It required sixteen discs, but our friend Yit has put the entire text of Journey
to the Center of the Soul: Mysticism Made Simple on cd. Yit has become very
creative. He has embellished the discs with beautiful background sounds, including
gorgeous music and nature-sounds. The discs are now being proofed
by Pat, Mary, Isaiah, Michelle, and Maria. Pat was first to finish, and has
made many valuable suggestions to improve the final product. If any of you have
any suggestions for improvement, Yit welcomes all your feedback. Please email
him at gustin@erinet.com
NEW
TAPES AVAILABLE
The Pneumarium gathering of September 28, 2002 is now available as a
set of two sixty-minute regular size cassettes.
MORE
FINE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE WEBSITE!
Were very happy to report that Isaiah has now set up the loveministries.org
website so that books can be not only read, and downloaded, free, from our site,
but can be ordered, in both softcover and hardcover formats, and paid via credit
card. It just gets better all the time! Thanks, Liquid Eyes!
THE
SOLSTICE CELEBRATION!
We had such a blast last year with our Winter Solstice Celebration that we want
to invite back again this year, on the evening of December 21, starting
at six pm, all our friends for another combination Christmas/Winter Solstice
celebration. Featured will be music, great conversation, warm drinks and warmer
Love. Please bring with you a gift (under ten dollars), so that each might bring
a gift and each might leave with a gift!
COMING
ATTRACTIONS
In December we begin production of our video tv show. Please send suggestions
to: rmfrancis@juno.com
Our next field trip is scheduled for November 30, Saturday. Well meet
at the Pneumarium at one!:)

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR:
IMPORTANT CHANGES
We have two seminars that will be taking us out of town. Some changes in calendar
schedules must be made. We maximize our gathering time so that the Pneumarium
family gets maximum benefit. So, here is how we have arranged things:
We will be having the gathering on October 13. We plan to meet again one week
later on October 20. In November. We plan gatherings for only for October 13,
October 20, November 3 and December 1. After December 1 we will return to our
regular schedule of a gathering every two weeks. So, the gatherings for October
27, November 10 and November 24 are cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience
that this might cause. Please do mark your calendars, and please do it now,
while you are thinking about it!:)
SOULMIND: SIXTH EPISODE
As of October, we have produced six episodes of the inet radioshow Soulmind.
Two are audiodownloadable from the site at loveministries. Org and we hope to
have a couple more on site pretty soon. Isaiah is busy engineering the tapes.
LOVESTUFF SIXTH
EPISODE
Although so far, episodes of our other inet radioshow, Lovestuff,
have not appeared on site, this is planned. Keep your eyes on the site, and
well keep you updated!
IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS TO
LOVEMINISTRIES.ORG
Isaiah has made it possible to order the books, with only a click, from the
website. We are very excited about this way of getting the Word of Love to the
public! This is a quantumleap for our work! If you have not yet visited the
updated website, please do so asap! Also, please encourage friends and email
buds to visit!
HEART AND SOUL:
PREPPING FOR VIDEO
Isaiah has completed his professional training, and we are planning to begin
our videopresentation (a cable tv show), Heart and Soul. When we
can get some studio time at Media Bridges, we will let you know when and on
what channel!
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
Jehovah, Good-bye: The New Theism of Love is now available in hardcover.
This book exposes the absurdity of the worship of a primitive wargod. God is
Love! Get the Word out! The wholesale price for this book, our price, is $13.50.
Also on the screen is a larger, coffee-table book called Brother Bird, Sister
Blossom: Meanderings of a Franciscan Taoist. Currently, both Burnitta and Isaiah
are looking through their collections for appropriate photos.
STUDIOTIME AT MEDIABRIDGES
Some kind of future radioproject, probably an inetshow, is planned with Michelle,
who has had professional training from Media Bridges. However, this is on hold
currently, as we are waiting for studiotime, which, so far, has not been available.
We plan for this one to be a call-in show. Wouldnt that be a megablast?
SEMINAR WORK BLOSSOMS
AGAIN
Although our seminar-work never died, it went through some dormant periods,
especially when the energy was focused so intensely on writing. Around 1986,
we went through our New England Period, when we had a number of
seminars in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. Our very first seminar
was in the historically spiritual town of Concord, Mass.
A couple of friends from those bygone days have reappeared suddenly again in
our lives. After many years, we are once again in touch with Michelle and Ramona.
Michelle Lawson has agreed to sponsor a seminar in Scarborough, Maine, and Ramona
is helping with the arrangements. So is our friend and student Cathy Moulton.
The Free and Happy Life seminar is scheduled for October 27, Sunday.
Michelle has arranged for us to have a lovely dance-studio, with a glass wall
overlooking a beautiful valley full of trees.
In November, we have scheduled our ninth Free and Happy Life seminar
for Dublin. This is always held in the school of our friend Frank, a four-story
Georgian house built in the seventeen hundreds. Frank is always a most congenial
and solicitous host, very generous with his time and resources. We will take
your Love to him, and bring back his for all of you.
SEEING CLIENTS IN THE
SUNBREEZE ROOM
When we first moved to Ohio, we were using the Sunbreeze Room, at the back of
the house, to see clients. During the summer, the weather became too hot to
continue our work there. But Shirley and Maria have bought a couple of nice
wicker chairs for this area, and, when the weather is nice enough, we are beginning
to use it again as a visiting area for friends, clients, and students. (Some
people are all three!:)
Sow, If you would like to discuss your lifedesign plans or psychospiritual path
with Richard, please call for an appointment. Call 513-737-LOVE. There is no
charge.

LOVE AND GREETINGS FROM INDIA
Our brother David in India asks us every few days to convey his Love and greetings
to the Pneumarium family. Although he is so far away geographically, his Love,
expressed as service to the poor, is in harmony with our own. He is a steady
email writer, and a very kind and conscientious man. His heart feels very resonant
with our little group, and he always inquires after your wellbeing. Should you
wish to contact him directly, his email address is: david30121968@yahoo.com
SEMINAR IN MAINE
Our sister Michelle Lawson, whom we met during our New England period
several years ago, has kindly volunteered to get together a Free and Happy
Life seminar in her town of Scarborough, Maine. It is scheduled for October
27. We have published some pretty, polychromatic flyers designed to describe
the seminar-contents. If you or a friend would like to host a Free and
Happy Life seminar in your area, just call or email us, at 513-737-LOVE,
or rmfrancis@juno.com
WEBSITE NEWS
Isaiah continues at a blazing pace, moving at the speed of light plus, about
warp ten, with the network. He keeps working on the net!:) Our website,
loveministries.org, is far, far better than it has ever been before! We are
delighted and excited to report that, as of this month, you will be able to
order, online, any of our books!
SOULMIND RADIOSHOW
Weve been working with our brother Isaiah, also fondly known as Liquid
Eyes, to create a radioshow called Soulmind for the website.
Weve taped five episodes, and two of them, we are happy to report, can
already be audiodownloaded from our website at loveministries.org Feel free
to tune in and load down twenty-four seven! Youre
welcome anytime! Come on by; set a spell; kick your shoes off. Tune us in!
LOVESTUFF RADIOSHOW
Weve been working with our brother Mickey, also fondly known as Mickpong,
on a radioshow called Lovestuff with Ping and Pong. Its something
of a light-hearted look at the whole scene of the new age, religion, and metaphysics.
Plenty of whacky stuff there! Sometimes we even get into real spirituality,
or Lovestuff.:) At present, this proposed show (we have five episodes
already taped) is going to be a website production, but we are also going to
see if we can find a station that might be interested. Please keep your antennas
up and out!:) If you hear of any leads, please email or phone us. All leads
will be followed!
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
Two new books are available in hardcover, and we now have three in stock: Falling
in Love with Yourself: Love and the Inner Beloved, and Journey to the Center
of the Soul: Mysticism Made Simple, and The Mystic Gospels of Jesus the Christ.
The publishers now have Luminous Jewels of Love and Light, Volume 1, and Simplicity
Made Simple: the Economics of Compassion. We will keep you updated about those
two!
We are working with our sister Burnitta on a project begun about five years
ago. It contains 81 tiny chapters, most about a page or less. We want to combine
the text with some creative black and white photos to produce a nine-by-twelve
softcover book called Brother Bird, Sister Blossom. The theme of the book is
Tao-Love, and it is written with minimal speech. It contains many
two- or three-word sentences. It is, of course, patterned after the great Chinese
classic Tao Te Ching.
LOVETEAM
UPDATE
Dennis has expressed an interest in joining the Loveteam. You might remember
that this is the group joining together to reach out to the public, which means
other people, to alert them to the fact that we exist and have something worth
saying. If you want to join the Loveteam, give us a call or drop us a line!
All are welcome!:)
THE MYSTIC GOSPELS OF JESUS
THE CHRIST: SELECTIONS
The Mystic Gospels is our latest book. Here are a couple of selections, taken
with Tao-guidance: From Judas, chapter 12, the words of Mary: All creatures,
we, were like the fingers of a single hand. No one could ever act without affecting
everyone else. So the primary virtue was to harm no one. The very highest calling
was to live a harmless existence committed to noninjury. We are called by Love
to live so as never to injure any selfaware creature. The kingdom of God is
like a net, cast into the sea of the cosmos. Its web includes the
flowers, stars, rainbows, and all of us.

BOOKNOTE
NOTEBOOK
The latest project,
recently reborn, is The Apocalypse of Love: The Mystical Symbolism of
the Revelation to John. This one is still in very rough manuscript form,
and will require a couple of months before it is presentable. But many of you
want to keep up with the latest project, and this is it! It is a verse-by-verse
commentary on the last book of the Bible, and presents the Revelation (Apocalypse)
as an allegory
and metaphor, a symbolic presentation of all the mental, emotional, and spiritual
changes that you must go through to discover, at last, the Godlight or Lovemind
deep within your own Soul.Maria is now marketing the simple little childrens
book, Kami and Kamu: A Love So True-blue. This little book has
around seventeen chapters and fourteen delightful, charming, poignant, moving,
and touching pictures of Kami (Mrs. Camel) and Kamu (Mr. Camel). The theme of
the book is Love, and just how special, warm, fun, and friendly a special Love
can be. It is not about wizards, sorcerers, and extraterrestrials. The book
is about real life, and its audience age-range is seven through eleven, although
it does have powerful appeal to kids of any age.
GOOD
NEWS!
Our first
order has been sent to the publishers for the two newly published books,
Falling in Love with Yourself: Love and the Inner Beloved, and The
Mystic Gospels of Jesus the Christ. We should have a few in stock (in
hardcover) by mid-August.
FALLING
IN LOVE: A PREVIEW
The new book,
Falling in Love with Yourself: Love and the Inner Beloved, has
as its subject matter many of the same issues discussed in Journey. But really
spiritual books are more scarce than platinum hens teeth, and so, we believe
that a less formal presentation also has a valid place in our society. While
Journey was a little heavier on quotations, some history, philosophy, and psychology,
FIL is more an informal illumination. It features some quasipoetic sections,
some mild mystical humor, and loads and loads of common sense on how to make
It work for you.To give you an idea of the tone and content, here are the names
of a few chosen chapters: Megapsychology: The Inner Outer Limits;
Falling in Love again, with Love; Its All Inside: Who
Do You Think You Are?; Torn Between Two Universes, and Loving It;
Extraordinarily Ordinary Love: Mysticism; Born
to Love: Your Simplified Designer Life; Moving Closer to My Lord:

FIELDTRIP:
BACK TO THE LAMAS!
In June, our fieldtrip was to the lamafarm
of Barbara and Jim. The lamas were in good form. Barbara narrated a brief history
of the farm: She and Jim were aided by the Love of others. They have helped
many with their own giving. Friends who participated in lamalove
were Dennis, who was kissed by Silver, Tom (Heyn) and his three kids, Pat, Maria,
Michelle, and Richard. The trip was taken also for Barbs daughter Christina,
who had many questions. We shared a great time of talking and cool drinks on
the comfortable and spacious front porch.
THE
CELEBRATION OF THE FOURTH
We had a megablast on the Fourth. Good vibes
were everywhere! Present for the joyful sharing were (in alphabetical order
of surnames) Albert, Maria and Richard, Timmie and Mark, Gayle, Dann and Cheri,
and John. Anardo and Cathy, a doc and his wife from El Salvador, came with Gayle.
They and Gayle brought their sons, so we had sixteen!
No one really wanted to leave, so we stayed together as long as possible. We
did not finally wrap up until ten pm, when we went out into the front yard,
to be surrounded by dazzling and brilliant fireworks, cascading and blossoming
in bright colors against the dark sky. They surrounded us in every direction,
and the place had the energy of a wonderland.
OUR
NEXT FIELDTRIP!
Our friend and brother Isaiah works at the
Cincinnati Museum Center. He has very kindly offered to provide us free tickets
to get in and to see the movie. Besides many fascinating displays, the Center
runs educational movies on a giant screen. This is called omnimax.
We have set the date for Saturday, July 20. We will meet at the Pneumarium
at twelve-thirty pm, and get there by the two oclock showing
of the movie.
BOOKNOTE
NOTEBOOK
The latest is a rewrite of Simplicity Made
Simple: the Economics of Compassion.
Also on the launchpad are: Volumes 1 and 2 of Luminous Jewels of Love and Light.
Originally, this was planned to be a single book. But that book would have been
huge! (over 600 pages). Cost would have been prohibitive. So, it was broken
down into two smaller books. Volume 1 contains Part I, The Way of Universal
Love, the first book-project of Love Ministries, begun in 1986, and Part
II, Superlove: A Thousand Jewels from a Spiritual Megatrend, originally
produced as a small book in 1995. Volume 2 contains an analysis of every statement
of Jesus in the Gospel of John, taken one sentence at a time. It is Part III.
Part IV, in the same book, is an improved rendition of the great Mystical classic
Tao Te Ching, its title rendered as the Book of the Great Mind and Its
Expression.
Meanwhile, two books, Falling in Love with Your Self and The Mystic Gospels
of Jesus the Christ, are still making their way through the slow and laborious
process of publication. These might actually become available in July. We will
keep you posted. Our friend and brother Tom (Gustin) has provided previous cosmic
bookcovers which are actual pictures of the stellar depths from the Hubble telescope.
Thanks bunches, loads, and heaps!
THE
PNEUMARIUM BOOK COLLECTION
We now have about sixty handselected books
in our circulating collection. Please feel welcome to take any home. We ask
only that you bring it back by the time of the next gathering, on July 21. Thanks
for your interest and cooperation.
OUTREACH
OUTLOOK
On the Summer Solstice, June 21, Isaiah began
training with Media Bridges to produce an educational tv show. Michelle has
also taken training, with the same organization, to produce an internet radioshow.
Maybe Mickey Gallagher will help with hosting this show, which will be a lighthearted
look at spirituality. Keep your ears opened and fingers crossed!
Also, on Sunday, June 30, the first episode of a talk/interview show called
Soulmind was recorded by Isaiah and Richard. Check us out
on the website, loveministries.org
The show will be accessible twenty-four seven.
A student of the Way in New Hampshire wants to help us publicize the message.
Her latest project is an attempt to set up a place on a talkshow. If youd
like to help, we can really use all the help that we can get. Her name is Ramona
Abella, and her email address is: rvabella@earthlink.net Please take
a few seconds to write her an encouraging note, to offer assistance and support.

BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
Many things are about to happen with the books. Currently on the launchpad:
The publisher currently has The Mystic Gospels of Jesus the Christ.
We have seen the galleys and the cover, and both look good. This book will have
591 pages, and so, will be a nice Fat book! It will soon be available
in both hardcover and paperback, although the cost is still unknown to us. This
book is an attempt to recover the lost and/or hidden mystical teachings of Jesus.
The miracles that dominate the traditional Jesus-story have little
place in The Mystic Gospels. Instead, all the emphasis is shifted to the allimportant
practical teachings of universal mysticism as revealed by and in his message.
***
A second book, also currently at the publishers, is written for nonmystics or
beginning mystics, a very general and simple intro to mysticism. It is practical
all the way. It is about 300 pages. It too will be available in both paperback
and hardcover, but as yet, we know nothing of the proposed prices.
***
Good news! After having worked during the last couple of years with Maria, Breda
Mayock, and Joyce Gustin, we have finally completed our childrens book,
Kami and Kamu: A Love So True-blue. It contains 52 short chapters, accompanied
by delightful, cute, charming drawings of the main characters-- two camels.
It talks a lot about Love, but nothing heavy or preachy. We have
no idea when it will be on the market.
MORE THAN MEDIOCRE MEDIA:
PLANS TO GET ON THE AIR AND ON THE SPIRIT
In Greek, air and spirit were the same word. We are
already on the Spirit, on Its frequency. Now, we want
to get on the air with the message of Love (spirituality).
June 21, Isaiah starts training to help us create a tv show. Not just another
talking head. That is egobased. Instead, itll be a presentation
of captivating visuals with a voice-over-- a different visual theme for each
show: rainbows, stainedglass, roses, lamas, seascapes, etc.
Meanwhile, Michelle has volunteered to take some training in an internet radio
show. We hope to reach an audience here that would not be a regular tv or radio
audience. We hope that this show will fly the entire spectrum of spirituality,
much as Heartmind has done. Practicality will be combined with high
vision to create a life-improving synergy.
***
NOTE: Heartmind
is on wvxu, 91.7 fm, Saturday, from 11:00-11:30 pm. Any comments,

FIELDTRIPS PAST AND FUTURE
We were blissed and blessed on a trip to the Labyrinth near Dayton. Gayle, Gloria,
Michelle, Debbie, Albert, Maria, and I walked the labyrinthine area, mowed in
a field. This form of moving meditation represents the journey from
outer to inner Center. When we all got to the center, we got into
some nice spiritual discussion, and were baptized by a gentle, cooling mist
after the warm sun.
This month we have planned another fieldtrip. Its to the lamafarm of Barb
Cole, the lamamama. We plan to leave from the Pneumarium on Saturday,
June 22, at one pm. Dont miss the fun
WEVE WON THE LOTTERY!
Just kidding!:( But would not those be lovely words? Would you not feel a surge
of joy upon hearing them?
Lets be crystal clear: We have all renounced greed. We will never let
money be our master. We are here to learn Love. Money is clearly not the highest
good for us. In fact, money is way down on the list. Clearly it comes after
selflove, universal Love, Love of family, Love of friends, and other forms of
bright, numinous, luminous Love!
***
But we all must make some money. Michelle and I seriously brainstormed about
this, in one of our many regular spiritual sharings, about the lotto, and what
we fantasized that we could do to heal the planet. But if you never play, you
never win. Probabilities are nanoscopic. But in a cosmos ruled by
karma, there is no probability. The Pneumarium family now can buy
some lotto tickets. So, Michelle, as long as she wants, is in charge
of collecting, and buying tickets. However, in all fairness, if you do not contribute,
neither can you partake.:(

SURPRISE! A NEW FIELDTRIP
Although our fieldtrips thus far have received dismal support, even though Albert
and Pat have always shown up (thanks, Albert and Pat!:), we still want to continue
trying. At the combined suggestion of Deborah and Michelle, we have set up our
next for Saturday May 11, the day before the Pneumariumgathering on the
twelfth. We are going to check out the labyrinth in Dayton. We plan to
meet at the Pneumarium at one oclock sharp that day. It takes only about
half an hour to get to Dayton, so we should be back by fivish, and maybe even
fourish! Anyway, if you have any questions, give me a quick call at 737-LOVE.
BLUFEATHERS FLYING
On Sunday, April 21, at 11:50 pm, Ann Blufeather made a successful
Transition from this world to the next. She left without pain and in peace,
with happy thoughts. The night that she died, a vision of her appeared. Her
residue-body, the one that she took from earth, was amazingly transformed.
She was slim, about thirty, with lush, luxuriant, thick golden hair. (This was
her dreamhair.) In the Homeworld, she went to the place where newcomers (earthers)
always go first-- the meadow.
There, nearly two hundred people showed up for her welcome Home
party/picnic. Then, she met her Soulmate, whom she had met decades ago on earth,
and who also left the earth decades ago, leaving her filled with regrets and
misgivings. His Homeworld name is, partly to honor her, Redfeather.
After the flush of initial excitement, about two hours later, they took a leisurely,
romantic walk through the forest. When last seen, they were laughing, holding
hands, and flying together through the golden sunkissed clouds of a perfect
afternoon.
We want to express our deep appreciation to Pat for having cared so well and
patiently for her during her final days. Thanks also to Maria, who deeply loved
her. Thanks also to Jessie and Raquel, Michelle, Mary, and Albert. You most
excellent and fine friends proved your loyalty and Love by visiting Blufeather
during her last hours, and again, by coming to her Memorial, held the following
Saturday in the Pneumarium. With both smiles and tears, we celebrate her Transition.
A BRAND NEW WEBSITE!
Isaiah has recently begun some really beautiful, fascinating, and very creative
graphic changes, improving the loveministries.org website
tremendously. He has added a lot of literal color to our site, and elephants
(of course), dolphins, blossoming flowers, and other compgen wonders.
Now, we are very excited to announce that he has begun phase two of a full revision:
He has started to renovate the textual content! He has added an entirely new
section concerning the Pneumarium. Soon, we hope to have all the Newsletters
on the site too. Please check it out, and view the creative genius of our bro,
Isaiah! Youll love it!
A CHANGE FOR HEARTMIND
Happily, most of you listen to HeartMind on wvxu, 91.7
fm, on Saturday nights. This is indeed a real investment in your
spiritual education. And both Ron Esposito, the cohost, and I really do appreciate
your listening! Please tell your friends!
Starting May 11, two major changes will be made in the show: 1) It will
move from 8 pm to 11 pm, i.e., to a more graveyard timeslot;
and 2) it will be reduced to one-half hour. While this sounds like a tragic
move, it really is not. At this new time, we will reach an entirely new audience,
and having only a half hour will teach us to be more succinct. So, it is all
part of the allgood major plan of the Mind in dreaming
up the world.
Speaking of HeartMind, we thought that this would be an appropriate
place to share some expressions that we have received recently from some strangers.
Heres a sample of some completely unsolicited comments:
What a wonderful program you have! I just discovered it two months ago.
Im sorry to hear that its going to only a half-hour. Your show last
Saturday was excellent as usual....-- Robert Pitch
My husband and I enjoy listening to Heartmind on Saturday
evenings. We live in Mt. Vernon, and receive the signal from the Mt. Gilead
station.... My husband has become obsessed with taping the show..., and refuses
to go out on Saturday evening, because he doesnt want to miss it.... Is
there a way to purchase tapes of the show?
Your fans,
Ellen Mankoff and Eugene Dwyer
I enjoyed your questions and answers....I like learning about such things....
I would like to discuss with you at further length if you would be willing to.
Also, I live in the east, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Do you have any lectures
or seminars...? Coby Miller
Were regular listeners to Heartmind.... Also, we would
like to hear your comments regarding nurturing spirituality in children....
Thanks much for the job that you do. We appreciate your help in our journey.
Love,
Michelle and Dan
I listen to your Saturday talks on wvxu as often as possible, and always
enjoy them. Do you have cds available?--Ross Hamilton
Thank you very much for your presence and ministry. Ive listened
to you for quite some time. Last evening,... your discussion on fundamentalism
prompted a question Ive wrestled with for years... Please keep up the
good work. Peace.-- Margaret Shufflebarger
Thank you for teaching spirituality, and for your program. I do tell my
friends....It is all food for the heart and mind.... Thanks always.--
Robin Madden
I found your discussion very interesting. I found the distinction between
judgment and discrimination very compelling.--
Geof [last name unknown].
Ive always been a big fan of your show Heartmind, even
after going to Atlanta. I look forward to hearing your show tonight on the webcast....
Thanks for any insight that you can provide.-- Charlie Kirsten
Im looking forward to your program tonight. Its ... medicine
for the soul. The information that you share is so wonderful. Everytime I listen
to Heartmind, I just shake my head and say, Now, that makes
good sense to me. I love it! I tell everyone I know that is avoiding the
religion of their past to check out Heartmind. Thanks for the time
you spend educating us.-- Gail England
Very smooth program which really covered a lot of territory.
Too bad about the major change to Heartmind. Will be more difficult
to squeeze into a half hour. Plus the time-slot seems poor....It would be great
if you guys could get some wider coverage, say, national, somehow....--

PRAY
FOR BLUFEATHER
Ann Blufeather is facing a major transition. She has lymphoma. Please send her
lots of Lovenergy.
SHE DOES NOT WANT TO BE HEALED. She believes that her life-journey here on earth
has come to an end, and we concur. She has the full right to make this decision.
None of us has the right to try to talk her out of this. She is eighty-six,
and feels that she has led a long, full life. She emphasizes that the quality
of life is much more important than mere quantity. She has made a very lucid
choice, being of sound mind. Her life has been filled with lots of Love, joy,
and compassion. She has also known the greatest bliss, for she has walked the
Way of practical mysticism. She has been a very, very generous person. All of
us who know her value her soft, tender ways, and know her to be a person of
enormous Love.
But we do not pray for her healing, but that she can be as comfortable and painfree
as possible. A recommended visualization is to picture her surrounded by an
egg of skyblue light. This color helps relaxation and to deintensify
pain. She has decided against chemotherapy and surgery. These, she knows, would
only increase her pain, and would certainly make her days a hell on earth.
Her energy is zero. She cannot rise from a chair, and can barely walk. She also
has regular chronic pain. Her hearing and sight are both problematic, and she
has other biomedical problems. Since she has always had an active mind matched
with an active body, this virtual paralysis, this total immobility is a kind
of purgatory. That is why she has made the courageous and selfloving
decision to let nature take its course.
She says, With so many good people around me, Ill do okay.
She is working with helpers from the Homeworld, too, including her mother, sister,
brother, son, and grandaughter. They infuse Lovenergy into her body on a regular
basis.
THE PNEUMARIUM BOOK COLLECTION
Last week, over email, some good advice was suggested by our brother in Xenia,
Tom. He suggested that we keep a small shelf of select spiritual books that
could be shared and held in common by our little community/family. This week
Pat brought over a bookshelf, and Toms donated books were combined with
some of ours, and the pbc (Pneumarium Book Collection)
was born!
Here is how it is planned to work: Anyone in our group can take home any one
book and keep it for two weeks. (One book only per person, please.:) At the
end of that time, you will be asked to return the book. Two weeks should be
enough time to read at least most of the book. This is an honor system: If you
take a book, you are expected to return it. We could make the system more complicated,
but for now, lets just keep it simple and see how well it serves our family.
If you have any books to donate, please bring them. For donations, please give
a quick call to 737-LOVE, or email at: rmfrancis@juno.com
Also, please tell your friends. The goal is not materialistically to amass a
lot of books, but to select some truly spiritual books of extraordinary quality.
Any donations will be happily and gratefully received. NOTE: We dont want
just any ol book in this collection, so there will be a selectionprocess.
Were looking for only the best of the best. Not interested in selfimprovement,
affirmation, traditional religion. Very interested in mystical Christianity,
general Gnosticism, Buddhism, Hinduism, mystical Judaism (kabbalah), mystical
Islam (Sufism), and nature-based faiths.
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
The book The Mystic Gospels of Jesus the Christ was just sent to the publishers
the first week of April. It is a collection of four unofficial Gospels written
from the collective Unconscious, from the area called akasha. These are: The
Gospel According to Judas Iscariot, the Mystic Evangel of Andrew the Apostle,
the Gnostic Gospel of Simon of Canaan, and the Mystic Gospel of Mary Magdalen.
We should know something within a couple of months. We will keep you posted
and updated.
Another book, Falling in Love with Your Self: Love and the Inner Beloved, was
also sent, a little later, in April. This is a more general audience
or pop intro to the Way of Love. It does not have much history or
many quotes, but is written in a lighter style, to explain the psychology of
the Way.
ROCK ON!
For our fieldtrip this month, on April 20, we thought that wed
take a roadtrip to visit our friend Aurora, at the Cincinnati Rock and Mineral
Show.
She has some beautiful specimens and some very good prices for all you would
be rockhounds.

book has been commercially published. It has 405 pages. These are the prices
that we must pay for the books: For paperbound, $12.50, and for hardcover, $17.50.
While these prices seem too high to us, they are within the general market range,
and the retail prices are considerably higher. We do not want to make any profit
on this book, and so, are selling them for our price. A used paperback was purchased
at the Half Price Bookstore the other day, and cost $11, just for comparison.
THE YOUNG PEOPLES GROUP:
THE TRIAL ENDS
We recently did an experiment trial-run of a Young peoples group, separate
from the adult gathering. In fact, the two groups alternated Sundays. We have
decided to discontinue this experiment, after having carefully considered the
issue, discussed it with advisors, and prayed/meditated in search of the answer.
The group was never well supported. We do, however, sincerely and publicly want
to express our sincerest thanks to those who did support the project: In alphabetical
order, they are: Kayla Hickman, Casey Miller, Dustin Miller, Jake Miller, Kara
Sons, Kody Sons, Kris Sons, Kyle Sons, and Amy Treadway.
Special thanks also to their parents, who blessed the group and, in fact, made
it possible: They are (also in ao): Jessie and Kel Lung, Gayle Miller, and Etta
Treadway. Still, even with the periodic support, attendance was sporadic, and
no one came regularly.
Heres some of the thinking behind the final decision to wrap up this trial:
As some of you know, I have an immune-sensitivity disorder, and, because of
that, I have literally been instructed by my physician to avoid regular contact
with anyone under twelve. This is because their immune-systems are not well-developed,
and they are more likely to be carriers of harmful bacteria and
viruses. Even a simple virus such as a cold is much more serious for Brother
Donkey than it is for others. So, selflove motivated part of the decision.
A second reason why the project was cancelled is that some children seemed too
young to develop the power of concentration, attention, or focus. So, they were
restless, distracted, just plain uninterested, or bored. Kids cannot know that
their spiritual education is the most important thing in their lives.
Third, and much more importantly, it is a part of the healthiest family-structure
that kids be taught spiritual matters by their own parents and/or guardians.
This draws the family closer and creates more intimacy, family unity, interaction,
trust, communication, and Love.
So, here is our NEW POLICY: From now on, the regular Pneumariumgatherings will
be open to all people age eleven or older. Unfortunately, we will not be able
to please everyone with this new arrangement, but please, you must believe that
it is the very best that we can do under the circumstances. Thanks very much
for your understanding, cooperation, and Love.

A MEGABLAST: OUR FEBRUARY
ROADTRIP TO LAMALAND
On February 23, 2002, the Pneumariumgroup had our first road trip. Our friend
Barb Cole, who lives near Hillsboro, Ohio, has about ten pet lamas. These creatures
are extremely friendly and sweet. They love people, are well-behaved, and do
not smell bad!:) They have soft, gentle eyes, and you can actually feel Love
radiating from them.
There was a special one named Silver, who had been met before. A silver lama
was, until recently, analogous to a white buffalo: It was considered a spiritual
event, a sing from nature, and was extremely rare. Although now not as rare
as formerly, they are still uniquely beautiful. And lamas, unlike many lesser
critters, do have a spiritual (loving) side to their personalities. Here is
a picture of Silver loving a human being:

FAMILY- AND FRIENDSHIP-BUILDING:
SHARING SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
In the last issue of the Newsletter, the first step in friendship-building,
communication, was discussed and introduced. Now it is time to move on to Step
Two: sharing social activities.
In order more strongly to reinforce our Love-bonds, we are planning to share,
from time to time, certain group-activities. We are planning to call these the
Kwan Yin Celebrations, in honor of the feminine Buddhist principle
of compassion. These events will be coordinated by Michelle, whom you can call
at (513-) 662-5011. Please call her for more info, or to suggest any kinds of
ideas for plans for future Kwan Yin Celebrations. We are still wide
open to good suggestions. (Or, use the Suggestionbox at the Pneumarium.) Our
first shared event will be a kind of field trip, which we plan to
share together on Saturday, February 23. Please mark your calendars now!
On that day, about one pm, we are planning to gather at the Pneumarium, and
will be visiting a good, dear, spiritual friend near Hillsboro, Ohio. Her name
is Barbara Cole, and she runs a lamafarm. Its about two hours, one way,
from here, so we plan to carpool. We plan to stay about an hour. So, plan to
spend the whole day with your best spiritual buds.
After that beautiful Saturday, if you wish, we can gather at the Pneumarium
about sixish to share an evening meal.
Lamas are very sweet, gentle, and intelligent creatures. Because of their good
personalities, and because they like people, they are quite popular. They are
creatures with whom Love can be shared, and they will feel it. They are very
sentient and aware.
Here is a picture of a lama that was met recently:
This lama was met in Tennessee. He was a very friendly pal. Maria
Francis says, This lama did not take his eyes off Richard from the first
moment. He just kept watching and staring at him. He reached down and kept kissing
him on the top of the head. But the most unique behavior of this lama
was that it tried its best to position its face about a quarter of an inch from
Richards face. He got as close as possible. And he did this over and over
again, whenever Richard got in the general area. Richard says, I felt
real love from this creature. Richard says, half-jokingly, that this lama
had been his camel in a lifetime as a Sufi in the Arabian desert. He was
the gentlest creature youve ever seen. Sadly, I had to inform him that
we were incompatible species! jokes Richard. But a karmic click
can occur with creatures other than human beings-- thats for sure!:)
Lamas make great pets. Barb has over a dozen, whom she loves dearly. And they
also love her. She calls herself the lamamama.
A POSSIBLE VISIT TO
THE CRYSTALADY
Karen (Aurora) Ludwick lives near Hillsboro, Ohio, and sells crystals.
She has some beautiful specimens, and her prices are reasonable. She is a student
of the Way, and certainly deserves our fullest support. While this still has
to be firmed up with the group, we are contemplating a visit to her place in
March. We will keep you posted, and will have a complete report in the March
issue.
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
We are now taking orders for the new book, Journey to the Center of the Soul:
Mysticism Made Simple. It is a historical, philosophic, and psychological study
of the mystical inner journey, rich with quotations from the pioneers in the
field, all the way from those who lived before Jesus up till the nineteenth
century. The chapters are short (two or three pages), but the book is comprehensive
(over 400 pages). The psychological transformations of the mystical experience
are discussed, delineated, described, and dissected. The place of the Unconscious,
and its various levels, each of which contains many layers, is outlined in some
detail. The practical effects of the mystical experience, in life-transformation,
are also narrated.
NOTE: This book has been commercially published, in hardback. So, we must pay
for every copy that we receive from the publisher. This is fair, since this
is how the publisher stays in business. But we cannot give away an unlimited
number of copies. If you want the book, and cannot afford it, or if you have
a friend who wants it but cannot afford it, special considerations will gladly
be made. Just let us know.

BUILDING FRIENDSHIPS, CREATING FAMILY
Joy, peace, and Love can flow from many fountains. There are many sources of
the waters of love and life in our lives. But one of the most magnificent, and
one of the most fun, is our friends. This is dazzlingly so with spiritual friends,
who support us, help us, listen to us, advise us, and generally warm our hearts
with the sunlight of their own. Nothing in this world is as satisfying and fulfilling
as reaching out a hand into the night, and trusting that another will reach
back, warmly and strongly.
But spiritual friendships, like lesser ones, do not just dropout of the sky,
wrapped in gold. Like all the fruits of the tree of Love, they must be cultivated,
fed, and maintained. Then, the miracle occurs: Light becomes fruit, as in nature,
and we can sustain ourselves most deliciously on the fruits of Love.
But what is this caring for the tree of Love? It is hard work, so be warned.
It means reaching out the hand of compassion. And compassion, like family, begins
with communication. All friendship begins with communication. It is the lifeblood
of friendship, and of family.
This, then, is where we begin. A regular, orderly program of intercommunication
is fun and productive. Remember, the word communication shares a
root with community, an both originate with communion.
This last word comes from com in Latin, with, and uno, or one.
So, communion means one with. Only Love can so bring us together,
so interweave our lives, that we can recognize that we originate from a common
single Mind below the collective Unconscious. And because we all do come from
that one Mind, the One, the Absolute, we are indeed literally one with
each other. We are complex mirrors of each other.
It follows that the only Way that you can ever fully love yourself is to love
all around you. We are especially blessed because we have come together, have
been drawn together, after centuries. We share a common spiritual tradition
that is infinitely greater than any religion. This is universal spirituality.
It is not a personal blessing, but one shared by all in our extended family.
An orderly program of intercommunication and mutuality is the very best way
to initiate, and to maintain, our mutual interests in, and concerns for, each
other.
THE SPIRITUAL
BUDS PROGRAM
What is the Spiritual Buds Program? It is a regular program of friendship-building
designed to make us more than a group of strangers. It is structured for one
purpose: To help us to get to know each other better. It is impossible to love
a stranger with any understanding and depth. So, our best love is often
reserved for friends, which is as it should be naturally. (Love comes in many
varieties and powerlevels.) Ideally, we come into each others lives so
that we can become spiritual buddies for each other. And thats
what the sbp is all about.
Calling your friends is one of the most practical, and easiest, acts of Love
that you can do.
BUT WHAT IF IM AFRAID? A certain fear of strangers
is normal. But first, we are not really strangers. And second, the last thing
that we want is for the demon or dragon of fear to control
our lifedecisions. Remember that fear is the opposite of Love, which is why
binladen and similar lunatics thrive on it. We have come to earth to overcome
fear. So, there is really nothing to fear. If talking to people makes you nervous,
try to remind yourself that it is part of a spiritual mission or assignment,
guaranteed to create good karma and to make you a much stronger, happier being.
Calling our friends from time to time is the very best way that you can serve
our little microcommunity. It might also be the most fun thing that youve
ever done. We are imploring each of you to do this, because the survival and
healthy growth of our family depends on it. For you, it might seem
optional. But for the family, it is mandatory.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? To call everyone on the list, just to say hello,
and to inquire after her/his health, happiness, family, kids, pets, job, hobbies
etc., would not take more than twenty minutes or so. So, the sbp is not at all
time-consuming. Also, there is no better way to spend your time.
We recommend calling everyone on the list. If you do get a machine, please leave
a message.
SAMPLE CALL. You might feel a little selfconscious just calling out
of the blue. But keep in mind that the people whom you are calling have
also been alerted to the sbp, and they will be expecting your call, and will
know exactly why you are calling. A sample call might follow a pattern something
like this: Im just calling to touch bases, and to see whether you
are remembering that we are having a gathering this Sunday. ...Its really
great to hear that you are coming. I cant wait to see you there. By the
way, has your problem with ________ getting resolved? Whats happening
there?... Well, some progress is being made, anyway. Good luck. Ive some
more calls to make, but I wanted to invite you over sometime for a cup of tea.
[Or, Maybe we could meet at _______ and share a meal, or cup of coffee.] Anyway,
I just wanted to call and let you know that Im thinking of you. Hope you
have a wonderful and beautiful day!
Try always to keep the conversation positive. We want to make each other happier,
not continuously recycle problems, challenges, and difficulties. [NOTE: This
does not apply if you are calling a lifedesign consultant and/or psychospiritual
advisor.:)]

GROWING A FAMILY AND COMMUNITY
When people discover the extraordinarily rich inner spiritual life, they often
feel alone. For this is a kindergarten planet. For this reason,
our Network, or U.L.T.R.A., is designed to be the nucleus of your spiritual
family. We need not use contrived artificialities, such as calling each
other brother or sister, in a formal way, as is done
in some religious groups. The much more crucial matter is that we do come to
recognize each other as family. When you feel this from the heart, then you
can use the words brother and sister with real feeling
and meaning.:) So, lets do everything possible to cultivate a closeness
that marks a real family. But what can we do to strengthen and reinforce this
message that, You are never alone as long as the Pneumarium family exists?
PRACTICAL COMPASSION
BEGINS WITH CARE.
This month, we are distributing a list of our friends who have shown interest
in the Network, and in living the Way of Love. You can begin to strengthen and
reinforce our family, our community, by giving a friendly call to everyone on
this little list, just to say hi, and to ask how everything is going. This is
not time-consuming. You can very likely accomplish this important task in an
hour.
But the most important factor is that you actually do it. Dont just imagine
yourself doing it. Dont just say that its a good idea. Instead,
plant yourself firmly by the telephone, perhaps with a cup of coffee, and say,
Im not going to move from this spot until I have called my friends,
and expressed my concern and care.
Some of you might be a bit shy. Thats understandable. But using the phone
is so much easier than talking face-to-face with someone, and should cut down
on any anxiety. Also, if you do this, you will have touched a number of lives
with compassion, and youll feel like a million bucks! We really need your
help. So, why not give it a try?
SOLSTICE PARTY: A SACRED
HOLIDAY
We invite all people, but especially the Pneumarium family, to a celebration
of the Winter Solstice. In pre-Christian times and cultures, it was this transformation
of seasons that was universally celebrated on December 21 or 25. (Christmas
evolved directly from these celebrations.) This is a celebration of nature.
So, WERE GOING TO HAVE A PARTY! Even Santa Claus has promised
to show up. And, to make it official, we are going to ask that everyone
bring one gift, a small one, costing a maximum of ten dollars. So, everyone
then will get to select from among the gifts. This is balance and equilibrium:
Everyone will bring one gift, and everyone will leave with one gift.
We are planning to share a potluck as well. So, if everyone would
bring a small dish, or a snack, well have plenty for everyone. Also, if
you have any music that you want to share, bring along a cd.
Also, if everyone will bring one candle, we plan to welcome in the new season
with light. A six-direction sacred ceremony (about fifteen minutes) is planned.
The Party is December 21, at 6 pm, in the Pneumarium. For more info, or directions,
or anything else, just call 513-737-LOVE. Yall come!:)
CHANGES IN THE PNEUMARIUM Maria has stenciled some beautiful designs on the
Pneumarium wall. Here is a picture:
Also, we have put a bunch of crystals and mineralspheres in the Pneumarium, on glass shelves. Here is a picture of them:
These bring bright new energy into the room, enriching everyone.

LOVE FROM DUBLIN, IRELAND
On Sunday, October 21, a Free and Happy Lifeseminar was held in
Dublin, Ireland. The remaining stock of the audioversion of The Way of Universal
Love (the three cd set) was distributed. Just in the nick of time, when our
supply had run dry, Thomas Gustin supplied more, and so, we now have some copies
in stock. (If you would like to order sets for yourself or friends, just drop
us a quick email at: rmfrancis@juno.com,
or call 513-737-LOVE.
This seminar was recorded, and will appear as an offering in the Winter 2001
Catalog of Love Ministries. (You can order copies now.) The following topics
were discussed: The Absolute Mind, the afterlife, the allgood life (nonjudgment),
and the practical spiritual life. The seminar was held at the Bell Canto
School of Singing, run by our friend Frank Merriman.
Frank has a large (four-story) house built in the eighteenth century, which
he hopes to transform into a place that can accommodate several persons overnight.
Specifically, it has four large rooms in which he seeks to install four bathroom-shower
combinations. Each would then serve as an independent bedroom, which could accommodate
overnight guests.
If it is in the Tao, we hope to accompany Greg and Shirley Sexton to Dublin,
perhaps in twenty-oh-two, to perform the needed renovations. Living without
demands or expectations, we are open to whatever happens.
Btw, Frank Merriman has made it feasible to publish the new book Journey to
the Center of the Soul: Mysticism Made Simple, which is even now at the publishers.
While in Dublin, we also worked with Edwin Williamson to create an educational
video. We should soon be able to make this publicly available, and will keep
you posted.
While in Ireland, we visited the famous Waterford Crystalworks, and suggested
that they create a Buddha and Kwan Yin in crystal. This is being currently taken
under advisement, and we will alert you as soon as the crystal Buddhas and/or
Kwan Yins become available. We are also going to suggest that they manufacture
a crystal pyramid.
Our friend Isaiah accompanied us on this joyful journey. As has occurred in
the past, our lovely friend Barbara Quinn kindly and generously opened her home
for us to stay while in Dublin, and our good friends Fentan and Francis Cunningham
provided reliable transport. We truly celebrate the fact that Fentan is a professional
driver. His excellent skill and reflexes literally saved our lives when a semitruck
suddenly, unexpectedly pulled in front of us. Fentan quickly braked, and we
missed smashing into the truck by one literal inch.
Since the nine-one-one crisis, airport security has become very tight, and the
metaldetectors quite sensitive. (They detected the foil around a package of
Lifesavers in my pocket.) But everyone is continuing to live, to travel, and
to fly as normal, and we are happy to report no problems with terrorists.
GOD AS ULTIMATE TERRORIST
Thousands of years ago, when the ancient people of the Middle East created a
god in their imagination, it was their goal to create the toughest, meanest,
most frightening image possible. In those barbarian cultures and savage times,
the ultimate heroic ideal was the soldier. And the ultimate soldier was the
bloodiest and most violent. As leader-general of the local army, each god was
portrayed as more fierce, ferocious, and merciless than all others. To these
brutal societies, a God of Love would have seemed pitiably weak, and laughable.
The heroic ideal has not changed much in this part of the world, and for many
people, it still remains the toughest and cruelest soldier. So,
they fashioned their gods in the image of their human rulers. Like the human
rulers, each god ruled only one nation. A God for all people was inconceivable.
So, their ideal of the perfect god became an inflated Saddam Hussein or Bin
Laden in the sky. Thus was born the terrible and destructive Jehovah-myth.
THE PNEUMARIUM: REPORT
We are delighted and excited to report that the Pneumarium is finished. Except
for the floor (we hope to install a tulipoplar plank floor), we have a real
and usable room!_ The large wall is a bright luminous yellow called Liquid
Sunshine, and the other three walls are a more pastel yellow called Raw
Silk. We also have a thirty-eight inch skylight, and a double window facing
the cornfield/golfcourse, which measures four and a half feet square. So, it
is quite a lightflled room.
Special thanks and gratitude go to (in alphorder) Pat Fields, Maria Francis,
Jessy Lung, Frank Merriman, John and Amy and Kate Orr, Dann Ross, and Greg and
Shirley Sexton, who made it all possible. May your good karma return to you
abundantly and richly, as good people and blessed events.
Greg and Shirley just installed two ceilingfans, with lights. Maria just made
a great purchase of twenty folding chairs, at eight dollars each. Special thanks
to Gloria DeWit for her chairdonation.
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
The book The Mystic Gospels of Jesus the Christ was sent to the publisher about
three months ago. But since the publisher proved incompetent, we now have plans
to send it to another. Sorry for the delay. Ideally, it should have been released
by now, but absolutely nothing at all was done during the previous three months,
and we are forced to begin again from square one.
But still, there is a happier note: We have just sent the discopy of Journey
to the Center of the Soul: Mysticism Made Simple, to a new publisher. We hope
to have better luck this time. If this works out, we will likely send The Mystic
Gospels to the same publisher. We will keep you posted re the availability of
these books._

WHAT IS U.L.T.R.A.?
U.L.T.R.A. is not a cult, church, religion, corporation, business, or
organization. U.L.T.R.A. is a network.
What is a network? How does it differ from an organization? Organizations are
rigidly structured, with hierarchies of leaders. In a network, there are no
leaders. All are equal. An organization demands conformity. A network does not.
Individuality and personal freedom, destroyed by conformity, are the very essence
of, demanded by, a network. An organization demands formal membership. A network
is "joined" not formally or permanently, but only by participation.
An organization is closed, viewing members as superior to nonmembers. A network
is open and friendly to everyone. Membership in an organization is permanent.
To be a member of a network, you simply participate in its activities. So, one
can be a "member" one day, and not the next, but the following day,
by "plugging in," can once again become a "member." With
insistence on total, unlimited freedom, then, you can be a "member"
of U.L.T.R.A. as often, or as long, as you choose. You are a "member"
as long as you try to live a life of compassion, empathy, care, and concern.
U.L.T.R.A. is not hermetically sealed against other groups. It does not
buy into the sick "us versus them" psychology that divides groups.
The people of U.L.T.R.A. are willing, indeed eager, to "join hands"
with anyone, of any socioeconomic, religious, or philosophic group, to make
the world a better place. This is, in fact, the only purpose of U.L.T.R.A.:
To help create a better world. This it tries to do by aiding people to be better
adapted, more intelligent, happier, wiser, and more compassionate. Our mission
is to study and learn, and then, to teach, principles of "agapology"
(Love-psychology). The most important "teaching" is the Way that we
live.
U.L.T.R.A. cannot be in competition with churches or religions. People
are welcome to "join" U.L.T.R.A. activities whether they are
members of churches or not.
The Network supports no bigotry-- racial, cultural, or religious. It makes no
claim to "exclusive" truth. Truths have been revealed to all cultures,
societies, races, and religions.
The Network consists of free, independent people who make their own spiritual
decisions. Unlike organizations, the Network does not seek to influence, limit,
or change anyone's free-will choices in spiritual or other matters.
Organization has been attempted by many religions. It has consistently and miserably
failed. Organizations are doctrinally and dogmatically divided from others.
U.L.T.R.A. has no officially accepted or approved teachings. Each person must
remain free to believe exactly whatever her own heartmind tells her is true.
The beliefs of one adult should never be dictated, forced, or enforced by another.
Seekers of truth should be free to question any teaching, and must never be
forced or pressured into conformity.
Unlimited freedom is the gift of the cosmic Mind, and should never be violated.
People should never lock others into the shackles and prisons of inflexible
dogmatism. People are more sacred than teachings, and it is much more important
to be loving than it is to be "right." "Truth" is not a
set of teachings, but is the Love at the Center of the heartmind.
So, U.L.T.R.A. rejects the idea that there is any infallible guru. All
people are spiritually equal in potential, even though not always in direct
expression, and this equality must never be violated. Everyone should respect
it. Every human being is equally and intrinsically sacred. People can, and should,
appropriately be respected, beloved, and even admired. But no human being can
be worshipped, for that is ignorance, and idolatry.
DONATION TO AID IN THE
WTC CRISIS
We're happy to announce that the donations for the last Gathering, on September
14, totalled $260, and that all of this was sent, as a donation, to the Red
Cross. Actually, we know that this is not very much, but it was given sincerely,
out of a motive of compassion, and that is much more important than the amount.
IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGES
On October 14, our friends have been invited to Dublin, Ireland, where a seminar
is planned. So, our next gathering will not take place on October 14, as normally.
So as not to disturb our schedule, the next gathering, after September 30, will
be on October 28. Please mark this on your calendar.
Until the coming gatherings, we will deeply miss all of you, and look forward
with great anticipation to our next coming together.
PNEUMARIUM CONSTRUCTION
REPORT
As of this writing (September 20), we are happy to report that the Pneumarium
walls are ready to paint. Maria has already painted the ceiling bright sky blue,
and "clouds" grace the foreground, giving that celestial effect. She
has also painted the tallest wall Liquid Sunshine-- a dazzling yellow.
FANTASTIC MINICONCERT
BY LIQUID EYES
Thanks sincerely to our friend Isaiah for a megablast of a miniconcert. His
liquid tones carried us all away into the bright inner heavens of soft comfort
and deep relaxation. The original audiomasterpieces included "Where Rain
Returns," "The Perfectly Unshaped," "Into Ourselves,"
and "Cellular Repair (The Nanobot Dance)."

NEW PNEUMARIUM OPENING
We're delighted and excited to announce the Opening of the "Pneumarium"
(pronounced "new-Mary-um"). The word comes from the Greek pneuma,
meaning "air" or "spirit," and is found in
"pneumatic" and "pneumonia," etc. The suffix
(ending) "-arium" means "place of" as in "auditorium"
and "aquarium." So the name means "Place of Spirit."
THANKS, FRANK!!! Special acknowledgment and thanks are due to Frank Merriman,
who provided the original idea for the Pneumarium, and supported it financially!***
LOVE TO DUBLIN: Our friends Frank, James, and Pinky came all the way from
Dublin, Ireland. We send back our sincere Love to all our dear friends in that
beautiful place.
OUR FIRST GATHERING
AT THE PNEUMARIUM
We began in the Atrium, and moved inside when it got hot. We discussed selfimage,
relationships, and Lovexpressions. When we came to the cultivation of universal
Love, what came up was the difficulty, near impossibility, of "loving"
little critters such as leeches. Allembracing Mind is anything but easy! In
fact, if it were easy, enlightened people would be on every corner! The universe
isn't fooling around when it sends us to "schools" such as the earth.
Allembracing Mind is far too easy, deceptively simple, on paper, conceptually.
But its implementation in the real world, of real snakes, spiders, lizards,
and leeches, is the toughest challenge you'll ever encounter. Fortunately, we
have centuries to cultivate this heaven-creating mindset. So, don't push it.
Just kick back, hang out, watch the show, and stay focused like a laser on Lovemind.
***NEW GATHERING TIME: 11 am to 2 pm starting Sept 2 !!
BOOKNOTE NOTEBOOK
The latest book, already sent to the publisher is The Mystic Gospels of Jesus
the Christ. It should be out later this year, and will be available in both
hardcover and paperback. It will probably be over 500 pages, containing the
Gospels of Judas, Andrew, Simon, and Mary Magdalen. We will keep you posted.
Simultaneously, undergoing final proofreading, is Journey to the Center of the
Soul: Mysticism Made Simple. This is a general intro to the psychology and philosophy
of intercultural mysticism. Western mystics are emphasized, but their Eastern
brothers and sisters have not been ignored. The book is a hyperagapic (extremely
Love-oriented) study. Chapters (over 110 of them) are short, and the reading
relatively clear. The book is designed for "real people in a real world,"
and avoids abstractions that are too nebulous. Still, a major theme concerns
the multileveled, multilayered Unconscious. The goal of the mystic is presented
as the desire/drive to abandon her egoidentity and "Mindmeld" with
the perfect Lovenature, Lovemind, or Lovegod at the deepest level, the Center
of the Unconscious.
IN THE PAST:
A project recently completed is Luminous Ecstasies and Passions: Journeys Into
Afterlife. It is a novel, of over 400 pages. It is a study of Love, both in
this world, and in that to come. It follows main characters into the Homeworld,
or afterlife condition, and describes the joys and beauties of that world with
detail. This is an adult book that might not be appropriate for very young readers.
But it does not contain gratuitous sex, and none of it is pornographic. It simply
embraces sex as a reality that can be celebrated by adults who are involved
both in deep commitment and deep Love. All in all, it is a real "feel good"
book. It was written to comfort those who have "lost" loved ones.
(This book is commercially published, and its cost to us is $12.)
ALSO FROM THE PAST:
The most recent work of nonfiction, already published is Jehovah, Good-bye:
The "New Theism" of Love This book analyzes the sad fact that most
people in Western religion are still trapped in the worship of an archaic god
developed thousands of years ago by primitive semiliterate desertdwellers. This
"Jehovah" was a wargod, and was psychotic, guilty of atrocities, brutalities,
and genocides. What this book demands is a God of pure Love. This book is commercially
published, and its coverprice is $8.95.
NEWSTUFF:
The Pneumarium is not yet completely finished. We hope to begin wallboarding
the first week of September. All help, aid, and advice greatly and gratefully
accepted. Thanks to Jessy Lung and John and Amy Orr, in advance, for volunteering
to help with wallboarding. This week, we plan to look into getting padded foldingchairs,
and we now have a bulletinboard. The skylight has been installed, and is a big
beautiful thirty-eight incher! Special thanks to Ann Blufeather, Pat Fields,
Maria Francis, Frank Merriman, Dann Ross, Greg Sexton, and Shirley Sexton for
all their efforts in building this beautiful room. Thanks also to Isaiah Toran
for providing a sound-system, which means that we should be able to hear next
time! If you'd like to see anything in this newsletter, please write: rmfrancis@juno.com
